University Mall Apartments

My wife and I lived here the last three years as I completed law school at SIUC. The space was exactly what we needed for a great price. The managers were always very responsive and any repairs that were needed were always resolved quickly. For example, one day, our refrigerator broke down and in the span of two hours they worked on it, decided we needed a new one, got a new one, replaced the old with the new and installed the new. We were newlyweds by the second year of our lease and felt comfortable getting a puppy that year after knowing how dog-friendly the complex is. Management was never burdensome via correspondence or any other means. Any inquiry was perfectly reasonable and appreciated. Take advantage of the gym deal. Warehouse gym is one of the best spaces to work out in the country and you won't find a better deal. I'm struggling to adjust to worse deals in St. Louis.

My time here was great! The management is great- friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. Any problems we ever had were quickly taken care of, whether maintenance or anything else. Nothing but positive things to say! Both apartments we stayed at over our course were decently sized and for a good price. Never had any issues with our neighbors either.

I lived here for two years while I was attending SIU, I absolutely loved the landlord. Great environment and pet friendly! Actually one of the cheapest places to have a pet in Carbondale, with a great fenced in area for the dogs. Super safe environment! One thing that I didn’t love was that they had the laundromat but it is only used by residents and it’s kept clean so don’t let that stop you from renting here! If you’re moving out on your own I really recommend one of their 1 bedroom apartments!

I had a great experience living here. The apartment was super clean when I moved in. It’s a quiet, peaceful area, and the management is very nice and helpful! Exactly what I needed. Plus, you get to see people playing with their dogs in the dog park every day :

Definitely 5 stars. I lived with them for a year, and having no issue at all, also a very nice and respectful stuff. there have variety of options in the town. The prices are quite reasonable compare to other. On top of that if the apartment needs something, they are always there. Overall, a very wonderful experience.

This is one of the nicest places I've lived in Carbondale lived 6 places with great landlords and maintenance staff. Maintenance is easy to get a hold of when needed and fixes issues quickly. I personally never had any major fixes needed, as the apartment was in good condition with working appliances. The landlords are always accessible by phone or email and get back to you right away. I've never had better correspondence with any other landlord. There is laundry on site as well as some extra benefits like a fenced in dog park, on-site gym, a fire pit, grill, and picnic tables. Depending how loud your neighbors are, yes you can hear them, but that is to be expected with apartment living. I had 7 neighbors in the building and didn't even hear/see them half of the time. The grounds are nicely kept and I always felt safe living here. The studios are a good size for one person and very cozy. The countertops cabinets and flooring are really pretty and there is lots of storage with multiple closets. There is also great natural light from the large window. The internet and tv is free which is a BIG perk. Water is also included, and the buildings are so well insulated the electric bill was always very affordable. Also, they spray for bugs monthly so that's never an issue either. Overall, these are good sized, very clean, and well maintained apartments. The prices are fair considering all that is included. It's also super easy to sign a lease, with a cheap security deposit and quick and free application. I was never a huge fan of apartment living before but I found it easy to make this place look and feel like home.

I had lived here for several years and it had been a great experience! The office staff are very friendly, easy to work with and helpful. The maintenance staff was excellent with helping fix anything even after hours. We loved the condition of the apartment and of the property with the fenced in dog park. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience renting an apartment in town!

I lived here for 3 years and highly recommend University Mall apartments! Apartments are well maintained and reasonably priced, management is always very quick to respond to emails or maintenance requests. Maintenance requests were always taken care of very promptly. The apartments are very pet friendly too! 10/10

I lived here for over a year while attending college and could not have had a better experience. Such an affordable apartment, great location, and an awesome property owner. The apartments are cozy and comfortable to live in. Pet friendly with a pet park right on the property. Most affordable place to rent in Carbondale, especially considering the quality and positive experience as a renter. The property owner is very attentive and responsive and promptly assists in any issue I ever had, which rarely occurred. Highly reccomend staying here short term or long term.

I lived here for 4 1/2 years, and it was wonderful. The apartments are nicer than any complex by campus, and management is caring and considerate. After just a few times stopping by the office, they knew me by name, and they are incredibly quick to fix anything. The only downfall for me was that the AC can’t keep up well on those 90 degree days, so 2nd floor residents need some additional fans to keep cool. At their price points, I don’t think you could find a better place in town.
