Early Childhood programs and initiatives are part of the University of Dayton Department of Teacher Education and the Center for Early Learning.
We design programs that represent our Marianist Traditions and encourage others to learn, lead and serve in order to improve the quality of life for young children. To this end we-
1. Offer undergraduate and graduate face-to-face teacher licensure programs in early childhood and early childhood special education and online degree and certificate programs in early childhood leadership and advocacy.
2. Provide curriculum support for teachers who work with young children ages birth through age 8 via our ACCESS Curriculum website and related publications.
3. Demonstrate and share high quality practice at the Bombeck Family Learning Center.
4. Provide high quality professional development and mentoring (both face-to-face and online) through the Bombeck Early Childhood Institute and Speakers Bureau.
5. Serve Catholic early childhood teachers, administrators and catechists.
