This can include but is not limited to assisting with filing for Injunction for Protection Orders, filing for Victims' Compensation funds, providing accompaniment and/or transportation to civil and/or criminal justice hearings and proceedings and assisting with preparing Victim Impact Statements. Our services can also extend to educational presentations on topics including sexual assault prevention, intimate partner violence, stalking & harassment, and or any top related to sexual violence and personal safety.
Finally, our office works closely with the University of Florida Counseling and Wellness Center & U Matter We Care offices to help process the emotional and behavioral responses to being victimized. These responses are normal and are to be expected. The Victim Advocates of OVS are on-Call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve and care for the needs of the Gator Community.
