Graduate School at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette offers rigorous scholarship in a distinctive setting. UL Lafayette is the second largest university in the state, with over 16,500 students including over 1,500 graduate students; it is also the largest university in the eight-member University of Louisiana System. It is dedicated to achieving excellence in education, research, and public service.
The Graduate School currently offers 28 master’s, eight doctoral, and three non-degree programs. It is a national leader in computer science, environmental biology, and nursing. UL Lafayette’s stature as a research university is evidenced by the prestigious Carnegie Foundation’s designation as a “Research University with High Research Activity.” That puts us in the same category as Clemson, Auburn, and Baylor universities.
