The University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC) is a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center that brings together expert researchers and clinicians from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the University of Maryland Medical Center to collaborate on preventing, detecting, and treating cancer.

Mission

The mission of the UMGCCC is to undertake innovative basic and clinical research that will impact the understanding and treatment of cancer around the world and to provide state-of-the-art clinical care to cancer patients in Maryland and beyond.

Services include comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment for cancer; cutting-edge cancer research including clinical trials; and support services for people living with cancer

Umms is amazing.The staff including schedulers.. techs,, receptionist,, nurses,, nurse practices, and doctors are the best.. compassionate caring knowledgeable . My care has been the best. The treatments are not fun, but the staff compensates for all that!! Highly recommend Maryland to any cancer patient!!!
This is a clubhouse you don't want to belong to. But when you are a member, you're so glad that you are! Everyone here is top notch from the physicians to the porters, and everyone in between. The lab technicians phlebotomists? who draw the blood are outstanding! As are the nurses in the examination rooms as well as the infusion center. Friendly, skilled, and compassionate. Finally, Dr. Niyongere. Words won't do her justice. She's engaged, thorough, caring, and is relentless in her battle to fight these evil maladies. Thank you to everyone there!
As of 22 December 2020 I am 2,030 days clear of the pancreatic cancer with which they diagnosed me, and then performed effective surgery. To keep me from having to travel 2 1/2 hours each way, they found me an oncologist close to home for the chemo, which ended 5 years ago this day. 27 SEP 22: Still here and still clear. - Steven R.
The experience and service and appointments in 2021 was Stellar, the entire team of nurses, doctors and their staff were professional and everything I could have ask for during my treatments there. Definitely recommend this center to everyone.

We are fairly new here, but can not say enough about the caring people here. This includes everyone involved. The custodians, medical assistants, nurses, security staff, I mean everyone! The doctors have all been attentive, informative and interested in us as people as we go to a place no one ever wants to go. Even when a problem occurs, and they always do... they are dealt with immediately with care and attention to every detail. We have every confidence that our outcome will be positive. Honestly, I can’t imagine better care anywhere.
If I could give this facility 0 stars, I would. Terrible communication, patient care and the worst patient service I have ever experienced. If you like being left in the dark or in a waiting room for hours while you suffer with cancer and its side effects, this is the place for you. Good luck getting anyone on the phone when you have questions. However, they'll definitely be in touch if there's an issue with insurance or payment. Dr. K's nurse is a repeat offender.

Dr Cullen is not only one of the nicest doctors who specializes in head and neck oncology, he is also one of the most knowledgeable. He has been a second opinion for me during my treatment and recovery and I trust his perspective on the necessity and ramifications of each option.
Just what you need to make Cancer die!!! You guys rock!!
