The University of Miami Student Center Complex is comprised of 7 unique locations that serve students, university departments, alumni, and the community.
The Student Center Complex’s (SCC) facilities contain indoor and outdoor event venues, including: Norman A. Whitten University Center (UC), Donna E. Shalala Student Center (SC), Edward T. Foote II University Green, Lakeside Patio Stage, Rock Plaza, U Statue, and UC Pool.
The Student Center Complex embraces the unique climate of South Florida and the lush, tropical University of Miami Coral Gables Campus with two student-centered indoor facilities as well as several outdoor facilities.
Both the Shalala Student Center (SC) and the Whitten University Center (UC) house student organizations, student life departments, as well as provide flexible meeting and event spaces. Both Centers are located along the shores of Lake Osceola.
The newly renovated University Center is the site of smaller meeting rooms.
Opened fall 2013, the Student Center is equipped with a vast array of multimedia capabilities and stylish environments. The Student Center's versatility offers space for 10 to 1,000 people.
The Student Center Complex truly is the center of the U, providing office and lounge space for undergraduate, graduate, and law students as well as providing great meeting and activities spaces for faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the community.
