Staff at the front desk were very knowledgeable. The location itself is very good, a short walk away from a few grocery stores and the Rideau shopping center. The residence is clean and the rooms are larger than other residences I've visited. Plenty of common space to study and a friendly atmosphere among residents. Definitely check it out!
My daughter stayed there during her first year. She loved the location, her room, free laundry,close to Loblaws, easy to get to campus 12 min walk. Only problem : the hot water was barely existant for the whole year. That is a big problem when you pay over 8g. They are aware of this issue but no solution.. fix it!
The farthest residence from campus is probably the most fun. If you’re social, there’s always people on the first floor playing pool or chatting. It’s right next to Loblaws with student discounts and it’s really not that far from campus 12 min walk to UCU, 18 min walk to SITE. Probably go to 90U or Annex residence if you’d rather stay in your room all day and not be social.
Went to UOttawa for a conference and was given the opportunity to stay at their residence for cheap, considering its downtown location. ITS A SCHOOL RESIDENCE! My room came with beds, desks, microwave, and its own dedicated wifi router. Not recommended for business travelers. It is more like a quiet hostel.
Haven't seen the inside yet but neighborhood seems nice, daughter should love it attending Ottawa University!
Reasonable rates for no frill accommodation. Close to byward market. Walking distance to parliament Hill and nearby sites like national gallery. There is limited underground parking and should be available in summer when students are gone.
Nice residence to stay in. Student friendly. Only thing that needs improvement is the shared kitchen. Was crowded at times and some of the burners on the stove didn't work.
Ok layout very curious why not have a layout where both rooms are private but accommodation and secure premises make for a nice college and University dorm.
Oh my gosh! I am moving here in the fall and I am so incredibly excited!! There is a cinema room on floor two, two on floor kitchens and a pool table. There is just too much to say!
It was a great place to take our gr7 and 8 students to visit Ottawa. Kind and helpful staff. Clean.
