So if you are NOT a student, and park in the visitor parking spaces at the law library these idiots will still give you a ticket. It literally says if you are not a student you can park here. So I parked there after I called ahead to inquire about parking from someone in the building. I came out with a ticket on my windshield. So I called them and they were like well your address was very similar to a previous student not named you..... Then in a last ditch effort to not look stupid they are like well you should have gotten a temporary parking pass.... I was like where do you find one of these? They proceed to tell me. I said you know you should put that on a sign by the parking lot. They cancelled the ticket but it was all a inconvenience. I did everything I was supposed to do. You are cops you are supposed to be observant, and knowledgeable. I would say paying attention to detail would be a very big priority in your job. Like say giving someone a ticket who is not a student who has a similar address of a previous student? LOL if parking harassment ever gets boring I think the detectives office is the right fit for you people. SMH
Terrible is the best response I can give. Gives tickets and you appeal and they are arrogant and rude. I am thankful for some of their services but some of them are used to be another revenue generating provider for the univ.
When it comes to friendly policing services, you can find it at UPD. They have helped me out in several incidents involving my car and access to buildings. They are always friendly and willing to help.
