We are an unopposed 8-8-8 residency program in Casper, WY, committed to preparing residents for rural practice.
The Casper residency program has flourished within this medical community for over 30 years. Established in 1976, the UWFMRP-Casper is a community-based program with an 8-8-8 residency model. Serving more than 10,000 people each year, we provide full-spectrum family medicine to people of all ages. Services include women’s health, osteopathic medicine, sports medicine, behavioral health, x-ray and lab, nursing home care and palliative care, geriatric care, internal medicine and medication management, case management, specialty and procedure clinics, patient education and inpatient hospital care.
We also provide opportunity to tailor your education into several tracts of focus:
- OB
- ER
- Geriatric
- Hospitalist
- Sports Medicine
- Under-served (In development)
Additionally, we provide experience in Global medicine, Wilderness Medicine as well as training is ATLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, FCCS, and ALSO courses.
