I can't rave enough about University Rehab! Maureen Rothrock is truly a miracle worker. My mother was suffering with multiple issues with her back and leg, bulging disc etc... Maureen not only helped her tremendously when she was there for a treatment, but also gave her exercises to implement at home. Maureen's thoughtful and professional treatment was a Godsent to our family. We are so thankful for her and what she has done to help my mother.

Updated Review 2021: This place is absolutely awesome.I had extensive back surgery in. February and the staff here has done an excellent job helping with my Rehab. The therapists are all very knowledgeable. They provide a great learning environment for college students. If you are looking for a place to go for physical therapy look no further. After receiving PT that was not the correct plan of care for my problem at a different clinic, I was recommended to University Rehabilitation New Smyrna Beach. They are truly the best and I can’t speak highly enough or express how grateful I am for the care, comparison and understanding I received through months of treatment with Maureen. Her knowledge and that of the team are second to none. I am stronger, healthier and happier today because of them.

I came to University Rehab NSB in early December with a partially frozen shoulder from spending 7 weeks in a sling recovering from a bad shoulder break. I was in pain and had very little movement in my shoulder, and my orthopedic surgeon said rehab could take up to a year, and I might need surgery to unfreeze the shoulder and might never regain full range of motion. But after 6 months of therapy at University Rehab, I have close to my full range of motion and the pain is gone. I can do everything I did before the shoulder injury without pain. Maureen was my therapist, and she literally worked miracles. The therapy she provided included a lot of manual therapy and one on one care. She was determined to restore my range of motion, worked extremely hard at it and never gave up even when I wanted to. The entire staff at the New Smyrna Beach location is wonderful - its a friendly atmosphere where you feel comfortable and get the utmost in care. I hope I never have to go through this again, but if I do this is the only place I would consider getting my therapy. I am certain I would not have my range of motion back today without the personal and excellent care I received from Maureen. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who needs PT in the NSB area.

The therapist spent most of the time gossiping with the receptionist instead of working with me. A 1 hr intro appointment was 15m, and they charged my insurance $400, giving me a bill for $65 for them to tell me to put ICE on my elbow, and readjusted my legs? And then told me we’ll do more at the follow up appointments. Don’t go here if you want a physical therapist who will pay attention to you and actually work with you.

My experience has been exceptional. The therapists are professional, knowledgeable and kind. They are attentive to their clients needs. I recommend this center every chance I get. Thank you so much.

I was sent to University Rehab in NSB in September by my new primary care physician for on going balance issues. I’m grateful that we now have more choices in rehabilitation in New Smyrna Beach, and the location on SR 44 is perfect. I’ve completed 13 visits for therapy thus far. Each therapist has worked with me. Everyone is positive, professional and cheerful. The atmosphere they create is fun, and makes me want to continue the program. My balance issue and mental attitude have improved with the therapy I have received. I would highly recommend University Rehab in NSB!

Lyndsey, Beth, and Maureen have all provided excellent care and support during my very long recovery from ankle surgery. It is a pleasure to visit this facility where the camaraderie of the entire staff feels like family!

I received physical therapy for 3 months for low back pain at University Rehab New Smyrna Beach. Pain was greatly reduced. Range of motion and strength greatly improved.
