*Fun shows! *Fun rides! Not as many as I expected *Awesome petting zoo! We went opening night. It wasn't as big as I had imagined. $25 unlimited wrist bands, great for kids cause each ride is 2+ tickets. The monkey/dog race was comical. The wolf show was chaotic but fun, they were very beautiful. The fmx show was the best! The petting zoo was great, the cows were my favorite lol. All 3 of my kids were thrilled to pet the animals, they did have a kangaroo but you couldn't touch it. You could also buy feed to feed them. The rides were fun but they didn't have many, much of them was suited for small children. The food was not good, just buy the souvenir cup & get $4 refills & save your food money for something else. P.S. Any games with balloon prizes kids always get a prize even if they loose!
The rides were great, just got scammed by this one person with a dart throwing game with balloons, he told me “I will let you have 4 darts for $2. And I will give you a bonus, just don’t tell anyone.” It was $22. I have never felt more embarrassed about my money ever
My niece and son attended this fair. The lot attendants were fairly nice and directed me to a place that I could park my car to get their tickets. There was a little confusion at the ticket counter, but after that was straightened out, the remainder of the experience went on very well. My niece and son thoroughly enjoyed their time at the fair.
On the commercial they say that all of these rides and attractions are free with admission will admission is $10 and then you have to pay $5 for parking but you also have to pay $5 for the Derby and do you have to pay $30 to ride all of the rides. It is absolutely ridiculous how much it cost for four people... So you basically pay $10 just to walk around and do nothing and if you want to do anything the minimum you're going to pay is $5 but if you want to have fun and ride all of the rides you're going to pay 30 + 10 + 5 for each person... Not including food.
I'm giving the Upper SC State Fair 5 stars but only because it was a genuine fair experience. I bought tickets and wristbands online, getting in was easy but finding where to pickup the wristbands was much more difficult. The carnieshope that isn't an offensive name look like carnies, the dull look in their eyes as they activate their ride for the millionth time always makes me sad. The carnies with games try to lure you in like a used car salesman trying to sell a lemon to a 16 year old. The cuisine can only be described as uniquely American, includes fried Oreos, Twinkies, and Snickers. The rides for the most part were at least exciting and I was only concerned about my safety on a couple rides. I didn't see the animals this time but I did get to hear Bobo the clown try to egg on his audience but to no avail, which was ironically pretty funny. This sounds like complaints but this is exactly what I expect from a fair 10/10.
Overall great experience at the fair. Their opening night is the best time to go. Admission and rides were all $1 each per person and it wasn't too busy. Staff were fun and outgoing and the shows were entertaining.
Fair was a bit of a let down but the car soccer and demolition derby were really good. Jax's first time seeing one and he won a trophy. He LOVED it.
Nasty and disgusting fair. People there were Rude, nasty, greesy and. This 1 person Morgan just flat out Rude and was screaming. Never will I go back I mean why are people going to run the fair look nasty, and are rude and scream. My family and I will not go back and I will tell my friends not.to go there to save there money.
I went on my birthday and was extremely disappointed. The prices have become outrageous and there are hardly any rides at all. All of the games are rigged, and I don't like the idea of paying almost 10$ for a lemonade. I should have stayed home and kept my money. I don't understand how they are still in business, but people keep paying so they stay afloat. It upsets me that when I have children I won't be able to take them to the fair that I remember and loved when I was growing up, instead they'll have to ride some of the rides there for 4-5 tickets each. Tickets are not cheap. And the arm bracelet is not worth it with the slim selection of rides that they have. If you can afford to blow your money on something that won't make you happy, be my guest and go. Otherwise I would take your child or even your friends, perhaps even yourself to an Aquarium or something since they have alot more action than what's going on here. Don't waste your money, please. Edit for the owner since I can’t reply: I went on September 4th, 2019 That was my 19th birthday
Barely any lines for rides. Some really nice workers. Plenty to do. Concessions we're great and not insanely priced. Pretty clean and lots of bathrooms. Great rides.
