Upper West Side Cafe

My family of 4 ate here tonight Saturday while visiting from out of town. We decided on a few small plates instead of entrees and were not disappointed. The Brussels sprouts were amazing, the shrimp/toast was fresh and flavorful and the wings and sliders were tasty and unique. Everything was 100% fancy restaurant but the atmosphere was extremely casual. If you need a place with great food even with kids but don’t want to have to change clothes from sightseeing, go here! I can’t say enough about the food! It is very underrated. Kudos to the chef!!! And the waitstaff is very friendly too

I ordered a berry blast smoothie, and after trying it, I let the server know that it had absolutely no flavor. I asked my girlfriends who were with me to taste it as well just to make sure. They confirmed it. When I reached back out to the server to let him know, his response was unaccommodating. Most servers with any customer service knowledge would respond with "I am sorry about that, would you like another flavor/option?" That just seems the most appropriate response. However this server responded with, "I don't understand, that's not possible. I just made it with the same ingredients." I went back trying to explain to him that even if that is true, I am drinking it now and it has no flavor. After which he still responded standing his ground and walking away. After reprocessing my thoughts I reached back out a third time and just asked for another smoothie flavor. He remade it for me at no additional cost which is why there are 2 stars. The overall experience, however, has ruined this establishment for me indefinitely.

Very fresh, healthy and vibrant food options on the menu. I'd recommend the hummus and pasta with Bolognese. Be mindful though of the fire station just below, it can startle from time to time.

Great hidden gem inside Squash on Fire gym. Really friendly staff, delicious tapas, and great happy hour specials! Recommend salmon brussels sprouts and calamari tapas. They've got a terrace too!

I just left Upper West Side Cafe. I was looking forward to my first time visiting this cafe but they were extremely rude. And without even saying anything. That's what made it so rude. I walked in, there were two gentlemen standing behind the bar, I approached the bar, the gentlemen did not acknowledge me nor offer me a menu...they just walked away and went to the kitchen. I do not think this is a way to treat guests at your cafe. It actually made me feel pretty terrible. Not kind at all.

Their food was outstanding and the customer service as well. My husband go the Avacado BLT and I got a squash tart thing and it was amazing!!! We will definitely go back

Delicious vegan options in a clean space with great outdoor seating. Loved the impossible sliders with harissa.

Came here for a comedy show. Sad I missed the food but the rooftop was cute. Ill def have to come back

Fantastic place. Fun to watch the squash while having a beer and a great bite to eat. Very friendly staff.
