Today I had an unexpected phone call from Eric at the North Hollywood Post office and it was out of this world great news. He had in his hand all of my mail for the last three weeks and wanted to know if I would like him to deliver it. He was so courtesy and kind I thought I was in the 1950s.. Way to go North Hollywood Post office and Eric the best Post man ever! Thank you for making me feel better without the effort. I wish you all the very best! Keep up the great work !
This is certainly one of the best Post Offices in this country. Opened on January 1st, 1933, it stands as an example of how nice this area once was, and I pray will be again. True quality service; patient and easy-going Postal Workers. It was built at the same time as Los Angeles Fire Station 60, which serves the people from right next door. 3 thumbs up.
This USPS is the laziest and most incompetent spot I’ve had to be stuck with for mail services. I shipped a package to a few customers through them before ultimately having to switch to UPS which costs more because the employees at this place would never scan my items. It would then show that they hadn’t received the item until the receiving address’s USPS would scan my package when they received it & delivered it. On several occasions I had to hit up the general USPS help line to make them check in on my location to make sure they didn’t lose my package after I dropped it off. The last straw was my mom sending me a surprise package through USPS not knowing the issues I’ve been having with them. They sent my mom no tracking updates and I didn’t know they delivered to my home, and now this package is also missing despite being ‘delivered 2 weeks ago’. USPS keeps claiming that the driver saw my package in my mail room when they’ve come to deliver since then, but each time I came home from work it has not been seen by me, or my neighbors. This was a really special surprise from my mom featuring gifts from my grandma inside as well so there is no way to get a refund for the sentimental value for the missing items. There needs to be a thorough investigation into this place because something fishy is up and I am convinced employees/managers are stealing packages.
I have to say this is one of the better post office location. The staff is pretty friendly. One time I was there and Omar and his manager kept the inside open until everyone who was already in line before closing were helped. I thought this was a great display of customer service. I will say one thing that did happen is I went in to put my mail on hold while I waited for my change of address to go through. It now takes up to 2 weeks to take affect which is crazy! She asked to see my liscense. I explained it did not have my most current address. She said oh I just need it to verify your name. She told me to hit the green button on the screen. I did not realize that was giving her permission to scan my liscense and gather information to keep their system. I am someone is is very cautious with their personal information and do not like it in a bunch of data bases. Mind you another way to turn in the request to hold form was to give it to your mail person. So they do not carry portable scanners to scan your liscense wuth them. I thought it was strange when she did this. Either way heads up for anyone moving to start way ahead of time on changing your address. It has now become a major hassle.
The full-time staff here do the best they can but there's only one of them everybody else is either part-time or relief. The relief staff claim they cannot give change or their drawer will be short which is unacceptable at 12:00 in the afternoon. The manager does not seem to care when the line is out the door he doesn't even try to help at all. For the holidays they didn't even try to get any extra help at all. If you go be prepared to wait in line for a while.
I don't know how they do it - over 20 people waiting to ship packages and customers seemed super difficult & not ready. The self ship stations worked well and I would definitely reccomend that if you can process your package there. I had to go up for a qr code shipment. The employees were pushing through and redirecting customers to the manager when they couldn't figure out a solution which helped keep things moving. Overall props to the team here, this doesn't seem like an easy job at all. If you're a customer reading this, be ready with your addresses, google things you need to know about shipping etc. Make their jobs easier please because the line of annoyed people they have to deal with is not their fault.
This post office is efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. Jose, Omar, and the rest of the staff always go above and beyond to help their customers. Good size parking lot. Open later than nearby post offices. Neat architecture.
Have had cards sit at the post office for a month before being finally stamped and sent out. Have had credit cards stolen and used as they were never delivered. Excited to move out of this zip code.
You can’t print a prepaid label here. “GO TO LIBRARY AND PRINT IT”, they say. In the age of ChatGPT, deep fakes, and spaghetti hair. What year is the USPS living in? What kind of generation are these services for?
One of the worst post offices I've ever been to. Whoever worked Tuesday, December 21st at 12:15 pm should be fired. On the bottom of the tracking number receipt it says Clerk 77. Insanely rude to me. There is no signage anywhere about how and where to box your shipments. I went to grab one to pack my stuff and there was no tape. I waited in line, and was literally thrown a roll of tape to pack my stuff up when I got to the FRONT OF THE LINE and then was yelled at for not having my package ready. I understand it's the holiday season and they are busy, but the disrespect and rude comment of "you would never last a day working here" was unacceptable. I work in the restaurant industry and would NEVER treat my customers that way. Absolutely not okay.
