Ever since I moved out here a few years and I have never seen a postal service so unorganized and not getting my mail when im supposed too. I use the app n it tells me what I have coming in and never getting it until days later or never. I’m tired of the sorry and slack ppl having these jobs. Replace these ppl or shut down Gaston post office!
we have had the same concern for a long time now with no resolve. I wrote an email today in regard to it and the manager Thomas called me. He was very nasty from the moment I picked up the phone and when I addressed it, I was told " I don't have to give good customer service, that's not my job" and hung up the phone.
We are a military Family who recently moved into town, meaning non of our family live close by. Mailing is our only way to share celebrations with our families being 2,000 miles away from home. Unfortunately, my daughter has not received any of her birthday presents from out of state due to the mail carrier delivering to the wrong address. The post office has been notified on multiple occasions 4 times in regards to this issue, we would receive the correct mail for one day, and then it would go back to normal. We put a nice note in our mailbox, as a reminder to the mail carrier. It was simply just our address on the mail box, it was then proceeded to be ripped to shreds, and then gave us the wrong mail, yet again . It breaks my heart that my baby won’t get to enjoy her birthday, do to someone else’s neglect. Not only has my baby not received birthday presents, but we have missed our tax forms, along with my FASFA information, and I didn’t even receive my college acceptance letter. So many important things in our life are missing do to the neglect of Gastons Post Office.
The person who usually delivers packages to our street is RUDE and LAZY. Looking at these other reviews this USPS could care less because they never reply to anyone. I'm assuming everyone else who has left a review is talking about the same person. I hope Monday when I need to unfortunately get off of work early to pick up a package this person so called "tried to drop off" even though we have a door bell that records anyone that rings or is in front of our door, proof they never even came up to the door to try to get a signature for a important package I will be looking for the number of their superior because this has happened before. By the way i'm never one to complain ever.
One star because because you cant give "NEGATIVE 5 STARS"! They will make up any excuse to NOT to deliver your mail. Wanted to make this brief but I could go on and on! UPDATE! As of 5/19/23 the new postmaster in Gaston is more useless than the last one!
We use to get our mail on time now it just comes later and later sometimes after 7pm. Very upset because my package was supposed to be delivered two days ago and received a notice stating couldn't deliver because of a dog. Live on a private road with only us and the neighbor and none of us have a dog. Was at home all day and didn't see anything pull in the yard oh and the camera didn't catch anyone either. So not sure how this was possible. Called to report and schedule redelivery and I have not received package yet.
Yay! I got my package delivered to my PO box!!! The clerks were courteous and helpful.
I just had the best post office experience I've had at this location. I brought in over a dozen packages to be shipped right before the office is supposed to close for lunch didn't realize this, oops. Tiffany was still very friendly and helpful, and even stopped me on my way out, unprompted, to make sure I understood the customs forms I was leaving with, even after her lunch had started. It's great to walk out of a place feeling like the employees actually cared about your experience.
I just moved to Gaston SC and today is June 11 I received an email that my package arrived and come to find out that is a car barely blocks mailbox our carrier who is a woman won’t deliver and if it’s a package she won’t deliver and leave at the door. Ma’am if you are that lazy and don’t want to do your job please quit, I’d like to have my package that I paid for and if it’s not here Monday I will be going to the post office to place a formal complaint to have you fired… yes I felt like being a Karen today… have the day you deserve…. FYI this isn’t they first time I was just trying to give her the benefit but seems like all the neighbors have the same opinion I just have the guts to say something…
My old mail carrier was polite and would make sure I got my mail on time. She gets 5 stars! But this post office over all is very poorly managed. Broken, bent, or torn packages are fairly common as well as stuffing boxes that don't fit in the mailbox almost busting the door off of it. I have never had much issue with packages not being delivered until recently because the new couriers refuse to open my gate that just has a spring latch on it to put my packages on the porch. I had no issue with my old courier. I have complained to the post master before and I have tried to reschedule deliveries that end up just staying at the post office that I then have to go pick up myself. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews but I can see based on the other reviews that there is an issue here. Please get it together and do y'alls jobs accordingly.
