This is absolutely the worse postal office in California. This is a typical day just to pick upan item from their "customer service" window. On three occasions, I've completed a vacation hold request for my PO Box only to find 2-weeks amount of mail stuffed inside the box. Somebody needs to have a come to Jesus meeting with the management here.
When you can't get a live agent on the phone to answer a simple question that's pretty bad service. It doesn't matter what company industry or service that you provide you have to be available for your customers. A 25 minute wait on the phone for a live agent is not acceptable. All I'm trying to do is pay for my post office box while out of town. How difficult can that be? Apparently very difficult for the Folsom Postal Service. I have known some of the counter people and delivery people for decades and I have heard all of the horror stories about how things have changed since Louis DeJoy became the Postmaster General. I understand that it is the holiday season and everyone is busier than normal but this is ridiculous! I stopped in to the post office twice this morning once at 5 minutes before opening and there was a line with at least 30 people in it. I came back about 2 hours later and there was an even longer line. The US Postal Service used to be one of our proudest American entities. Now it is one of our worst, and there is no excuse for it!
I am just reposting the exact comments that Someone else posted ... Because the EXACT SAME THING happened to me. The Leadership in this post office is a joke…to allow this to continue. Maybe writing a congressional complaint will help. This is the most Pathetic Post office for their services I even came across. 1 I had a big envelope delivery on Saturday which required a signature. The delivery person only knocked on the door not even rang the door bell. When we opened the door, there was only some flyer related item left at the door - nobody else visible around. 2 After 15-20 minutes when we came out from our front door we realized that the USPS delivery person left stuck on the door a "Missed Delivery" note mentioning to collect the item from the post office - which will be available on Monday at the earliest. 3 The note had a post office address mentioning 9AM - 5PM time however on Monday Today when I visited this location, it said it opens at 10AM..!!!!!!! 4 Also another biggest concern is that I have signed up for the "USPS Informed Delivery". This item mentioned above for delivery - NEVER popped as delivering on Saturday. Also I do have some mails forwarded from my old address Which actually arrive in the mail box but never notified in "Informed Delivery". I know that Informed delivery is an optional service and good to have, and not a right, but when I was in southern California Los Angeles, this issue was never there. So seems this location and their services. I hope the Management at this location would look into this review and would work to improve the services they offer to our community here in Folsom.
USPS should go out of international mail business, they said 3-5 days, to deliver it and charged a very hefty price of $70, but delivered after 6 weeks with water damage. They won't refund it because they cannot guarantee the time but they can guarantee high price. Fedex can do in 4 days.
Well we had a package that was supposed to be herr January 3 but it still hasnt showed up. We've tried many times today and yesterday during office hours and they wouldn't answer the phone, that is completely unprofessional and unacceptable in any kind of business. Whoever is in charge needs to be fired or retrained in their job cuz obviously they have terrible service. Ps. Their always busy with a line the length of a mile out the door
Horrible service. mail carriers do not scan packages and packages get lost. will be filing a missing mail claim.
UPDATE 10/2022: Gotta LOVE it when you wait at home all day for a package and then suddenly the tracking says there was a delivery attempt and that your item is now being held hostage at the post office, but there is no notice on your door and there was no knock or rung doorbell. Wow. Way to NOT DO YOUR ONE JOB. UPDATE: Besides losing medication in the mail and their carrier not knowing where they delivered it or admitting to having ever seen it AND them not returning my calls about it after, service is still deteriorating amid a record number people using mailing services. Why would I pay for my packages or letters to be lost? No wonder hardly any online vendors use it any longer. Even if you can get the USPS Informed Delivery to work, it couldn't "recognize" my information for some reason, this location WILL NOT keep you informed. I live in an apartment. If something is too big for my mail box, they just leave it outside of my building without ringing the bell. Great way for me to get things stolen, thanks. Find a better alternative and stop being the epitome of lazy government workers. Update: This has happened twice in a row now 7/17/16
This office is the worst office I have ever been to and that I’ve ever spoken to. They are disrespectful and they don’t care what happens to your packages, I spoke to one person who refused to say that the package was lost but then they agreed that they would send me an email stating that they no longer have the package. I then spoke to another person that then told me that they had sent the package back to the sender and that I needed to contact them because they no longer had to report on the status of my package. Absolutely terrible and the worst people, I would give it zero stars and I would report them for losing my package and lying to me if there was a place you could possibly do so.
Folsom CA post office is the definition of great customer service. We mistakenly dropped an important letter into their outside collection box. We called the post office & thanks to Ruth they got our letter back to us! This is typical of the service we have enjoyed from this location!
Had a FLAT RATE package get returned for “insufficient delivery funds”. Can’t get ahold of anyone there. They don’t return calls or emails. They don’t answer the phones so don’t even try.
