I am a veteran. They opened at 7 instead of 8 and let me in with no issues. They were very kind. Have showers, shampoo/towels, free Feminine products, food, tons of recliners, tvs, computers, a family room, bag storage, and unlimited relaxation. The hours are weird, so call before you go. But overall, the best USO I have been to.
THE ONLY REVEIW YOU NEED. Great place, super friendly and helpful volunteers. Hard to find though. Follow these steps. HOW TO FIND: Across from the Starbucks by Gate A3 go down two sets of escalators. At the very bottom there will be two red trains on either side of you. Continue walking forward past these until you reach a point that will have signs saying if you exit this area you have to go back through security. There are two more escalators here- DO NOT go up them, instead go in the hall between them and around to the right there will be an elevator. Take the elevator to the Mezzanine level. Once you get off the elevator at the top and come to a walkway that goes left or right, go right until you run into the USO. There are lots of different warm/cold food and drinks. Including: oatmeal, toast, granola bars, banana, apples, carrots, applesauce, cookies, candies donuts, hot dogs, ramen, tuna sandwiches, PB&J, ham sandwiches, OJ, Milk, Tea, Water and various pops. There is a printer, ton of comfy chairs, a massage chair, free book and game area, family area, sleeping/movie theatre area, and showers. They do have a luggage room. You should check in on the app, then they check your ID and give you a wristband. No COVID test required as of 7/27/22.
Very friendly staff, great place to relax a little during our long layover. I only wish they were open 2 weeks ago when we got stuck in Seattle for an extra day but I understand they have to be closed sometimes too lol. But I appreciate what the USO does for service members and their families!
Been to a couple of these places and this is the best one I've seen. Have some places to sleep and plenty of chairs to get comfy in. They got tons of stuff to keep you entertained and I even heard a rumor that they have showers. Will definitely be back next time I'm here. Really gratefully for people who make stuff like this happen.
Nice USO, good amenities and great service and support. Two drawbacks: 1. Several of the guests laid across two recliner seats - Courtesy was in short supply. 2. A tween was hacking and no attempt to cover or mask by them or sponsor… Again, courtesy was running low… Everyone earned the privilege of being in there. I guess, some thought they earned more than others….
Long overnight flight, follow on cancelled, stuck here for a full day. Except it's Friday so no luck with the USO at all. Looks like a great USO, but they're closed the majority of the week. Careful not to leave the terminal without checking hours or you'll be stuck on a park bench for the day like me.
Best one Id have been to. This one actually have bed for you to sleep on
Great!!! The staff were very welcoming, friendly and awesome. Had family area, quiet room, snacks and place to take a shower. Only down side its outside of the gates. If you have time, beat the wait for other lounges you have to pay for.
I reached out to Mr. Sult, since he was listed as the Center manager. I was at at SeaTac Airport and had a long wait for my departure. I have used the USO center before when I was Active Duty with no issues at all. I thought I’d call the center and ask if I would be able to come in if I was 100% Disabled Veteran. I believe the guys name was Don whom I spoke to. He asked me if I had a military ID and I told him I did. So he informed me that he would be able to let me in, so I went ahead and left the gate area to head over the center. When I arrived I was greeted by him and I provided my ID to him. He then rudely threw it back down and said “ well where does it say you are Service related?” I told him the ID says “100% Disabled American Service” he then said “ well it doesn’t say service connected and you said it would” I then told him the ID is from the DOD and told him it has my rank and branch of service. At this point he was being really rude and demeaning towards me to the point where he even said “well did you get shot or something or what’s wrong with you?” I was honestly in shock when he asked me this and I just replied with “ well I do not wish to tell you, that is my personal stuff, you know what don’t even worry about it” he then said “well I will let you in” at this point the damage was done. Who in their right mind ask questions like that or not be informed of what the difference is between a VA Medical Card and a VA DOD Uniformed Service ID is. And to top it off there were 2 other ladies there that said nothing. It was very embarrassing trying to explain myself that I was 100% Disabled Vet And that my ID even says My Rank and branch of service and not only that but it also states “ MWR, Commissary and Unlimited exchange” I told him “I will show you my VA Letter that states I am 100% service connected disabled and the amount of money I receive a month etc. so you don’t make the same mistake in the future” when I provided that letter, no one had anything to say at all….not even an apology or anything. It was sooo humiliating and discriminatory. I suggest they get training or something because that is not right….the only reason I went was because I had called before showing up and asked if 100% Disabled veterans are welcomed and he said yes.
My agency did not advise me but being a former military I knew to go to these folks and they did not disappoint. One of the best USOs I've ever been to shout out to the Seabee working the luggage room.
