This is by far the slowest and rudest post office I've ever been to. No matter what time of day you go plan on waiting a minimum of 30 minutes. The one employee literally grunted at me when I time him to have a good day. Avoid if you can.

Employees are so incredibly rude and awful with every visit - I avoid this post office as much as possible!
This place is seriously the worst place to visit counter employees are very racists with Latino customers they should get fired if they're not going to treat them right be ashamed, also the person that takes care of the counter packages should get fired too for not doing his or her job right, I'm so sick of people being like this. Won't visit again
For the past year my medical statements have somehow gotten lost. Which causes them to bill me more for not making a payment. I get maybe a package being late but this really needs to be addressed. The doctors office doesn’t care if you never received notice, they have the dates the statements were sent out and that’s all they can do. Please watch and make sure people’s statements are getting to them, as well as the payment. That’s a huge problem, but learned my lesson and will go paperless. Nonetheless, for those that don’t have accounts and solely depend on the post office for statements you need to keep a closer eye out.
The most unreliable post office in this area by far. I ship a lot of packages for my small biz and use preprinted postage. Amherst PO repeatedly fails to scan packages into their system when they are dropped off, making it look on tracking as if the package hasn't been mailed sometimes for a day or two after it was dropped off. They also hold mail for more than a day before sending it for processing, which is not supposed to happen, but I have had things scanned into Amherst more than a day after I dropped it off. The desk clerks are surly if you wait in line and ask them to scan things in. Highly recommend that you use another PO instead.
The two men at the front desk were rude to everyone in line and one of them just straight up left his desk when there was a long line without saying anything. Go somewhere else.
Twice now, I have used this post office to ship things to my family in TN. They are rude in there every time, like they hate their jobs. I asked both times how I should wrap things before sending especially a picture frame, that was irreplaceable so they didn’t get broken, no one really wanted to tell me. The picture frame was destroyed by the time they received it. My sister in law told me, it looked like they had laid it by the back tire of the truck and ran it over. I paid $36 for shipping for you guys to ruin it!!! I will not return
I always get a message saying they attempted to deliver my package but was unsuccessful. This only happens when I get a heavy package. So they never try to deliver my package!
Love the kiosk in the lobby that allows for after hours weighing of package and purchasing of postage, including stamps. Very large lobby. However, staff is more abrupt than at other post offices I go to.
