We love our mailman! Even our kitty who likes no one loves him! He is always kind and dependable. There have been alot of trainees, so we had to put a note inside our mailbox to only leave mail for us. We have only had a couple letters go to our neighbors, but they were kind enough to bring them to us. They are human, and I am sure they have a very stressful job! Everytime we have to go inside, they are always so incredibly kind. I love being able to use the machine inside to make my own labels for delivery when they are closed.
Very disappointed. I normally love USPS but the customer service I received was subpar and I was overcharged. I did not receive adequate help when asked. My total was over $50 for a 4 pound package. I refused to pay and drove to the USPS in Clarksville where I then paid $19.95. Ridiculous.
I do not go to the New Albany Post Office but our mail carriers on Terry Lane do a very good and efficient job. Wish the stamps would keep going up am on a fixed income and use stamps regularly keeping in touch with friends
The staff tries as hard as possible during the hard times the post office has been undergoing since COVID-19. I know most people would leave negative reviews for such but the employees really are doing WHAT THEY CAN. Nothing happening there that's inconvenient is their fault. USPS needs our support as a country whole. Buy stamps! Thank you to the staffing.
Received two “failed delivery attempt” notices in my mailbox. Second was a rescheduled delivery that wasn’t attempted to be delivered until A day after it was supposed to be. I was home both times never once did they knock to try to get a signature for my package or even come inside my building. Now I have to go up there to get it because they can’t be bothered to deliver correctly. If it needs a signature you may want to try having your delivery guys actually try to deliver it I work two jobs and now I have to find time to stop up there and get my stuff.
I've been receiving another addressee's junk mailings at least once a week for several months now. Today, an employee from this branch called me. She was very nice, and this issue should now be resolved.
I have lost all faith with the New Albany Post Office. Just a few years ago every mail carrier delivered the mail without incident. Lately, they have been leaving my packages outside my front door without knocking. I understand if they don't wait to hand a package to someone but I live downtown on a busy sidewalk and my front door is about six-feet from the street so any package left at my front door is easily seen and within arms reach by anyone walking down the sidewalk - there is no cover to hide the package behind either. I've filed several online complaints and even talked with delivery supervisors but the problem continues and has gotten worse with a package I did not receive being reported as delivered. Perhaps it was stolen? But the video does not show the carrier delivering a package that day. Another package delivery was attempted but marked as no safe location and was returned to the post office. I have requested twice to have the package redelivered and both times those requests fell on deaf ears without even a response. I hope mine is an isolated incident and perhaps if a new carrier or local management changes - things will improve. But, until then, I miss the post office of just a few years ago.
This post office is filled with some of the nicest and hard working employees. I drive out of my way to use this office over other closer usps offices. I went in today knowing it would be busy due to it being a Saturday after a holiday and during a pandemic. Expecting a wait, I was not surprised when I stood for over a hour. However, what did surprise me was how extremely polite and personable Carol was when she assisted me. Even though she was extremely busy the only clerk up front she treated me like I was the main priority until my transaction was completed. Carol went above and beyond to help me and explain what I needed to do to get my package shipped. She did this with every customer before me as well. People like her are the bread and butter to the customer service industry. I hope she is made aware of how valuable she truly is. I know the post office is working hard through this pandemic and are doing everything possible for local residents. Thanks again, Carol!
All's we've received in one month is the gas bill, any other mail is addressed to people that don't live here. I've been here 9 years, and never seen so many excuses and incompetence
I had a mail carrier deliver packages to my house, however a package containing an expensive ring was scanned the same day but the carrier never left it, so I called posy office n confronted him. Je then stopped even delivering our junk mail for awhile. We decided to move and guess what, dame mail carrier even though we moved across town I get my meds through optumrx and he will say he tried to deliver but my address was unaccessible bit we are home all day n he never does. He has been seen by me and 4 others sleeping in his truck til my husband's boss blew an air horn what do I do
