This place was very cool. I thought my kids 8,10,16 would be bored but they loved it! There was so much to see and read I could just never take it all in. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend making a stop here if you are visiting Corpus Christi! Fun for the whole family. But beware, it is a LOT of walking and steep stairs.
The water levels had gone down to the point that I could stand under the ship! I took some pictures and videos and it was just cool. Just for free. Never went in. Nice place to chill at night after bar hopping and dancing nearby. The park was cute. Lots of friends and couple roaming around at 12am. There is also waterfalls and art features. Really relaxing hangout spot to wind down after a night out. Free street parking. Very safe in the area too. Didn't notice anything strange. It was quite lively on a Friday night too!
It was a very windy day so being outside on the deck was challenging. Once inside we saw everything! It is a must see for anyone that appreciates what the men and women have done for our country. Every tour on the ship could stand alone by itself for a history lesson. Plan on soaking in the vast information and spending 3 or more hours. We took 6 hours and loved every minute. Thank you to all that served on this magnificent vessel.
This was one of the best navy ships that we have done in the US. I was totally blown away by how organized the whole tour was. So much and to learn and definitely worth the visit!!! It says on here that you could do the whole thing in about 3 hrs. I would say please come there as early as you can because you would atleast need 6 hrs to do the whole ship if you want to do it without rush. It has 5 places you can look and everyone of them was worth it. They had a restaurant inside too which had some vegetarian options. I had a black bean burger and fries it was good. The best part was for each section they have a separate exit and entry and so there is no crowd and it’s all one way. They have clearly marked which way to go so you don’t get confused. Amazing work. I would definitely be back because I had to rush through the last part a little bit.
What an awesome museum! As a Navy Submariner , I really enjoyed the attention to detail surrounding this history of this ship as well as many other ships, aircrafts and services within the US Navy. The 3D movie about Rim Pac was awesome. My family really enjoyed the USS Lexington.
The people are professional and respectable! They care about the ship and wanting everyone safe on board the USS Lexington. There are many stories about the people that died and lived. The history of the ship on how many men died for America is sad and how we should be appreciative for what we have.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$16–20
Awesome Museum Great history in this ship, really learned a lot many people have given their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today and dare not take for granted! This was a workout great exercise but we'll always remember The Lexington and the folks who ran her through the world's oceans for freedom! Thanks to those who made this ship possible for us to enjoy.
What a beautiful piece of America history. Featuring retired military planes and equipment you can feel the history on this tour. The stairs are tight and steep to get on different level, advise to use caution . The Lexington also has a concession on board to purchase lunch and drinks. Reading the facts and stories leaves you feeling a whole new respect for the military men and women that served and continue to serve. There are restrooms on ship and air conditioning in some areas.
My 3rd time here with my daughter. My youngest son & grandson’s first time. The ship was filled with a lot of history. We had a great time. Be prepared to do a lot of walking & climbing stairs. The website had a $1.00 off coupon for up to 6 people.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minPrice for adult entry$16–20
Highly recommended, great time, the escape room was fun. The flight simulator was good. The food was exceptional. I really liked it and will go again. Lots of stairs, hot and humid in some areas. .worth it, drink plenty of water.
