It has been five years and my dog still has separation anxiety. Long and short, they gave my dog to the wrong person. A flight attendant. They made excuses for her and said what a good pet owner she is…. But my dog was maybe half the size of the dog the staff was ARGUING me with. Yes, I know what my dog looks like and my dog knows and comes to his name. Not a common name so there is no way on this green earth they had the same name. They gave gave the wrong food… I know this because had diarrhea like when he was on a different type of food. And while I will never forgive the flight attendant who mistook my 8 pound white and brown dog for your 20 plain white…. I think it’s a disgrace how the OWNER gave me her name after giving me my dog.
I'm giving one star because the front desk person was polite and friendly however beyond that I'm not going to bring either of my dogs back here and I'm going to share my experience here in the hopes that explains why you to as someone reading reviews shouldn't either: We went to Bear Lake last weekend and boarded our two dogs. At no point during the stay did Utah Dog Park reach out to advise an incident occurred nor did they tell us when we picked our dogs up 07/02/2023 that an incident occurred. But we noticed on our ride home one of them had some dried blood around his ear and we made an appointment with our vet. After speaking with our vet this morning 07/07/23, it turns out he came home with a 2 inch laceration that bisects cartilage in his ear and requires stitches. Utah Dog Park was completely aware of the injury because they glued the cut together thinking it would be sufficient. I'm not mad that an incident occurred - I am however completely disgusted that Utah Dog Park couldn't even be bothered contact us or our emergency contact to notify us or ensure that my pet received proper care for his injury. Had I known I likely would have made a more urgent visit to my Vet.
Very happy with the week our dog spent with the great people at Dog Park. I was more than happy to bring my dog in to get screened, knowing that it meant the other dogs had done it a well, after the last place we boarded him at left him with a large bite wound. It's no wonder this place has won best in state 3 years in a row. Our little guy was happy and worn out when we picked him up.
This was the first time I put my puppy Labrador into a doggy daycare and this place was great! The owner of the place was kind and welcoming, people were knowledgeable and were very understanding of my specific needs for my 4 month old, the process went smoothly and the prices are affordable. Would highly reccommend!
Utah dog park is top notch. They take such good care of your pets. I never feel like I have to worry when they are in the hands of Utah dog park. They care so much and offer you amazing amenities for you pets. I love the webcam feature to check in on my dogs or the a unity to text and get updates. I checked the webcam to check on our dogs and I saw a staff member giving them love and attention and it made me feel so appreciate if their people. I would absolutely recommend this as an amazing and safe place for your pets.
DO NOT board your dog here. If your dog is attacked while staying there they will only cover the cost for the dog to see their own vet. And that’s just the fee to see the vet they don’t cover any services. My dog was attacked while he was there and none of their staff even told me!! I noticed a wound on my dog’s eye when I brought him home and because I took him to the emergency vet rather than their own clinic, they won’t compensate for anything. Not only that but they tried to accuse me of lying that that incident happened while he was in their care because their staff didn’t make a note of it during his stay. Totally insane! I only boarded my dogs there because they always have vacancy…. Now I know why!!
They are awesome! I was in Utah for work and thought it would be a good idea to take my puppy with me. He loves his kennel so thought he'd be fine in it while I worked...I was very wrong. I tried finding someone through Rover, which was near impossible and taking more time that I had. A friend recommended this place so I messaged them and they promptly replied. They got me in that day, to evaluate my boy to make sure he would get along with other dogs, and then he was in doggy day care the next day. They have videos so I could watch him online and the dogs all seemed so happy and attended to! He had a blast and received more socialization. Plus, he was exhausted by the end of the day and relaxed! I would have expected to pay so much more than I did and it would have been worth it but the cost was a third of what Rover was going to be. On top of all of that the employees there actually love dogs!!!. Seems silly to say but these days you just don't know. Thank you to everyone for loving on my Hawken boy!!!
My very friendly golden doodle has come home from daycare at the Utah Dog Park with stitches not once, not twice, but THREE times not to mention the Giardia that he picked up there. I know, shame on me for bringing him back after the first and second time. I had been taking him to daycare there about 2-3 times per week for about 1.5 years. Every time he gets injured they assure me that he was not the instigator. Yesterday, I was told he was just minding his own business when he was attacked by another dog. Does the offending dog get kicked out of daycare you may ask? Oh, only if he becomes a repeat offender! And yes, I am left with the hundreds of dollars in vet bills. I'm torn about leaving this review because the Utah Dog Park has been really integral in helping me feel like I wasn't neglecting my dog when I work too much. The staff are always very friendly and greet Max by name. I frankly don't know what I'm going to do now but I can't in good conscious continue to put my dog in that situation. He doesn't deserve that and neither do your dogs!
When I was looking to board my precious baby, I wanted to find the best place. When I visited Utah Dog Park I knew I had found it and I wasn’t wrong. I’ve taken my dog here countless times! I love how they have outdoor and indoor options and they have cameras in both so you can always keep an eye on your furry baby. They always have a human with them too and they spend all they outside. Other places keep your dog in the kennel all day, I didn’t want that for mine! Also, the prices are really fair.
First and last time, hair cut is uneven, charged me a whopping 77. Could have just paid 55 if I wanted an uneven cut, down the street at the Utah School of Pet grooming. Plus they want a fecal examination. I understand the idea of asking for one but it’s seriously like an STI or drug test. It’s only good for literally the day you get it done. The dog can contract flagellates minutes after getting tested. Redeeming factors, they were quick wonder why now and she smelled good.
