Valley Garden Park is one of those not so famous places. But, I guess it does have a lot of competition with showstoppers like Longwood Gardens, Wintertur, Hagley Museum, and Nemours Estate in the area. All a part of the duPont family legacy. The white and pink flowering trees as you stroll through the paved loop trail are just gorgeous in April. One thing Valley Garden Park has going for it is it’s variety of trees. If you take 30 minutes to walk the 1.3 mile paved trail, you will see all types both big and small. Most of the people that I passed on the trail were locals just getting out for a walk. I was the only one with a camera. So, I’m assuming I was the only tourists. This little park checks most of the boxes for a great adventure…trees, flowers, paved trails, water, and open fields. What’s not to like!
Went to this park today. It’s important to pay attention to the entrance sign because the park closes at different times throughout the year. Well maintained and beautiful place.
This is a great place to just take a walk, sit on a bench or on a blanket and relax. I enjoy the sounds of nature from the stream and the birds, it's like music to my ears. The trees are Beautiful!
Great views and very good place for walks. Just pass the time appreciating nature, spending time with family and/or friends or just walking the dog. 1st time ive visited and really liked the place. 10/10 i will definitely come back and recommend to family and friends.
Lovely little park, formerly a DuPont estate donated to Wimington. Several paved trails and some dirt trails. Come check it out
Amazing park in all seasons, very peaceful atmosphere, great for walk, picnic, photo shoot, dog walk etc..
Stopped at our little slice of heaven last Fall with the beautiful foliage and needed a repeat so stopped in after walking Oversee Farm. Did a mile walk around and everything was so green! Plan to visit again in the Winter with snow covering all the trees!
Quiet little park, beautiful landscape.
Beautiful park tucked away in in the Valley in Northern Delaware. Great for walking, picnics, short hikes on trails, and best of all it's free!
Beautiful and serene. The hills are filled with daffodils. Look forward to coming back when the rhododendrons are in bloom.
