After 10 years of practicing hand and elbow surgery in West Hills and Westlake, Dr. Ziv proudly opens new offices in Van Nuys, Thousand Oaks and Valencia.
Those of you who are former patients, colleagues, and friends may know of my highly successful 10 year association with the Center for Orthopaedic Specialists in West Hills and Westlake Village. You may not know that my career has taken an exciting and rewarding new path. In December 2013 I was proudly sworn in as a Major with the U.S. Army Medical Corps, and soon after I volunteered for deployment to Afghanistan. I arrived in Afghanistan in September and returned home in January 2015. I was the only orthopaedic surgeon with an elite Forward Surgical Team at a field hospital in FOB Shank.
I am excited to be starting a new practice with offices in Van Nuys, Valencia, and Thousand Oaks. In Van Nuys I will be joining the highly regarded Valley hand surgeons Dr. Ben Lesin and Dr. George Balfour, each of which has been practicing hand surgery in the Valley for over 30 years. I hope to continue to provide the excellent personalized care that I provided for the last 10 years in a smaller, more focused setting. I will continue to perform surgery at West Hills Surgery Center and the Speciality Surgery Centers in both Westlake Village and Encino. I will continue to see a wide variety of insurance plans including Medicare, all PPO plans, Motion Picture Network, and Worker's Compensation. I am also contracted with most major HMO plans as well, including HealthCare Partners, Regal, Lakeside, UCLA IPA and Providence/Axminster (with referral).
