My daughter and I were in on Monday, July 3rd, 2023 & we had a fantastic sales person named Christian - although he was new he was knowledgeable and so helpful! We ended up purchasing a stunning bedroom suite for my daughter and we couldn't be happier! Sean, the manager, contributed greatly to the efficiency of our transaction, aided by Bri who was working at the front counter. The pick up process with simple and seamless. We had a great experience & we will be back very soon! Thank you to your sales team, especially Sean, Christian, & Bri!!
Big shoutout to Brad for helping me get everything i wanted with my line of credit. Even through in a clearance mattress to go with my bed, i got some great savings on my couch and two chairs. Helped me load my two chairs up to take home. He made my experience personal and fun, Go see Brad y’all!!
Jeff Mueller was my sales associate and he took exceptional care of me gave me exactly what I was after and the price was very fair. I was in and out without any hassle, I didn't feel pressured and it's obvious Jeff is interested in building long-term relationships rather than just making a quick sale. If you stop in the value City make sure you ask for Jeff!
Turning my experience from bad to good! They ordered the wrong frame for the headboard/bed we bought, After playing phone tag for a bit… I finally made the executive decision to return it at that moment! They didn’t have one in stock and I needed to have the bed assembled that day. They offered a refund for the frame and mentioned that I go across the street to a mattress store to buy the frame that was needed to put the bed together. My husband said “No” and to make sure I speak with the manager to figure something else out. It needed to be assembled that day for my husband to come home from the hospital. Once the Store Sales Manager ANTHONY met with me. He amazingly went above and beyond to make sure I left as a satisfied customer! Thank you Anthony for your exceptional, professional customer service! I hope they pay you well to keep you with their company!!
Sales rep want very personable. Asked for the restroom and came back and he avoided me. He wasn't with anyone. I did a quick wall rough and left. Had questions and wasn't going to chase him down. No one else offered help either as they talked amongst them selves
Isabella and Shawn manager were very kind and understanding to our issue. They took care of us quickly. We have purchased our living room furniture and bed here and both with different sales reps each being patient and understanding throughout the process. The price and accommodations for sales were great too. Highly recommend.
Extremely disappointing interaction with your Fort Wayne Value City Location thanks to Shelley. Here is why: We purchased product from your Mishawaka SB location but delivery was from FW. We got some of our stuff but were still waiting on Got a call August 6 in the morning .... There was a delay with the delivery of our recliner. We said, that is fine but we absolutely asked if this would DEFINITELY be delivered week of 9/14. We were told yes. Yes, because the item was already at the store. We were also told if we wanted to come pick it up ourselves, we could. Meaning - it was already at the store! We chose to accept the delayed deliver because we live an hour from your FW store and we had already paid for the delivery. And, we were okay waiting 1 more month. But could not wait longer. The caller was kind and very reassuring. FAST FORWARD to 9/4/2023..... We get a call just before 10 from the FW location about them delaying our delivery again until October. I immediately called back when they opened and got Shelley. She knew who I was because the store had caller ID. While she may think she handled that call professionally, I will tell you that it was anything but! She was dismissive, disconnected and downright attempting to gaslight me the entire time. She tried to say the item had never been in stock and this was a vendor issue and that I needed to "calm down". I was upset about the fact we spent THOUSANDS of dollars by choice at your store and that lying to me, or attempting to make me out to be ignorant to what ACTUALLY HAPPENED WITH MY RECLINER... I am not naive, it was given to someone else....I was mostly mad because she was treating me like I was stupid and like the conversation I had on August 6th was a figment of my imagination......THIS WAS terrible customer service, especially when up to this point Value City as a whole was a 5 out of 5 stars thanks to Mishawaka South Bend. She continued to act like she was trying to help but continues to dismiss my concerns. She never attempts to de-escalate the situation which got me to the point where I told her that I would file a charge with my Amex account against this purchase because they were failing to provide me with the service and goods I paid for - She ignored that too. I told her I wanted to speak to a manager, she said she WOULD HAVE THEM CALL ME. I say when? She said today. I made it CLEAR that I would be reaching out to AMEX today to dispute the charge if they did not....... Well, guess what? I never received a call from the Fort Wayne Manager of Value City. I even gave her ALL DAY today because I knew they had sales yesterday..... And nothing as of 5:30pm. So.... after being disrespected horribly by your Fort Wayne Store......What do you suppose I should do? Well, good for your that you have your Mishawaka store..... because I reached out to them and got THE ABSOLUTE OPPOSITE experience from Cohl that store's manager. Cohl was spectacular. You can thank him for why this has a 2 star review and for why we will not be filing a dispute just yet. He fixed what Shelly had no interest to try and help with.... What is sad is that until SHELLEY and her terrible customer service, we were a fan of all Value City as a whole.... but now, unless I am shopping at the VC in Mishawaka SB, I will not be buying from you.
I had a very bad experience with the purchase at value city. I bought a dining table at Fort Wayne value city . I received it today after5 months and the rude delivery guys left the dining table and chairs scattered all over the house and did not set it up. Called the store and they were not able to do anything about it and just said have a good day. They can not come back and set it up and basically can not do anything about it. I would never again buy any thing at Value City in my life.
Customer service was great! Delivery was easy and right on time! We love our new couch!

Both deliver kind, courteous and professional service, which has made our consumer experience top-notch. We HIGHLY recommend this store in large part due to the fantastic character and efforts of both Shelly AND John. Keep up the great work!
