Staying long term. This is an RV Park, not an open to the public picnic grounds. Place is dated, needs sprucing up. Owner and staff is nice.
Got worried by some of the reviews. Shouldn't have. Met by a helpful person who guided me right to my site. It was level enough that I didn't have to drop the trailer. Excellent water pressure and taste and power at the site surrounded by pretty trees and acres of quiet fields. No cable, but cranked up my TV Antenna and connected to over 60 strong digital high definition stations. Better than any camp cable I've connected to! Strong Verizon cell signal so I had no problems with internet. This is a definite "go there again" location.
This is a beautiful campground with massive amounts of event space.Service: 5/5
We only stayed a night while traveling through. We love it there because we get to stay in the field for a night . It's just water and electric in the field but they have full hookups in another area. It's quiet in the field and pretty. We love this place because it is so quiet. We enjoyed it very much and when we are passing through this area we like to stop there. Excellent!!!
Great Park. I only spent one night there and I got in late and left early but I would stay there again as there seem to be some really friendly people there and it was a beautiful area.
My husband was doing work up in NC for a while. We were there with our camper for close to five months. Casey, the owner, was awesome. He was so helpful and so nice to talk to. If we’re ever back up in the area we’d love to stay there again! I definitely recommend this place if your looking for a beautiful, quiet place to camp!
I always dislike when Google mandates a star. I want to give ZERO stars, but it won't allow me to. BEWARE before you reserve something at this "campground" - It is possible you could pay for one thing and get something VERY different - with no apologies or discount offered. We paid for one night in advance with 50 amp electric service. We assumed the reservation and payment IN FULL meant something. Not the case. They allowed the "real side of the campground" to be filled by others before we arrived and basically threw us out into an open field, no picnic table, no trees at all, no shade AND NO 50 AMP ELECTRIC. When a company doesn't send you a paid receipt with your specific site requests on it, I guess that should be red flag enough. I asked for itemized receipt and I got "Don's got you down - he knows you are coming" - yikes! I guess that was on ME for trusting - DON'T trust. Buyer please beware.
We were just traveling thru and unfortunately only had time for an overnight stay. It's a convenient close access from 77. Has a nice relaxing country atmosphere with plenty of room to walk the dog. We plan to make this a destination stay sometime when they're having one of their music festivals.
Great little area. Pool was rented out for a birthday party, but despite the crowded area there was plenty of romping room! Pool was Crystal clear, the grass and weeds were very well managed. Some building up keep is needed but they play a great nostalgic classic American roll. Over all great place to stop and camp.
Nice folks. No tp in rr, and 1 of 2 stalls didn't flush. It's difficult to keep rr clean during a wet spring, but bathroom was really shabby. For the $55 I paid, I expected better.
