This Draper location is newly renovated and has leveled up to be as good as or better than all the other VASA locations! All new flooring, equipment organized in a layout that makes sense, Olympic lifting area, dedicated training area, and now STUDIO RED. The staff here are incredibly helpful and kind. 5/5 !
This VASA location is good enough to get your daily dose of endorphins that's up to you, of course. But the hidden fees make me mad. It feels like someone is stealing money from your pocket. But it's VASA's policy, and the Draper facility franchisee is not to blame. At least that's what I've decided to think. I just moved to this area and I'm looking for a gym. It's sad that VASA head office is spoiling the overall impression of this facility. I'll probably choose another place to have fun. I don't want to be cheated with these hidden fees.
Currently writing this as I’m hitting back here so you know my opinion is legit. I’ve been here since I was a young buck weighing in at 115, years ago. Quite a few of the machines here are broken and or fixed incorrectly and management is seemingly not doing anything about it. My advice? EOS in sandy opening in the next few months. The equipment here is in my opinion, old and not optimal. I find myself bringing in my own equipment to carry around the entire workout to provide what this gym is lacking. I’ve had such a positive experience at EOS AND they have digital weight, new equipment, and a proactive response to issues. I’ve been waiting on a leg extension for weeks here and they have yet to replace it and I’m sure I’ll get a reply faulting the supply chain but little do they know that’s my major so that won’t work on me. Also 1 if the 2 lat pull-downs have been broken for over a week, wow! If you truly want a good you can get it no matter the cost if you have a customer to satisfy. I’d show you a picture of the missing leg extension, but you can clearly see why I don’t have one. Side note: It would appear as if the gym is okay with people filming you without consent. There is this gym couple that films a livestream workout video the entire time so I would avoid going at 5:00PM unless you enjoy cringing and or being filmed without consent. EDIT : 2 weeks after management replied to me, only the lat pull-down has been fixed. The chest piece on the lat pull-down machine is still NOT fixed, and the leg extension is still missing so there’s still only one. I’m also still continuously being filmed in the background of the gym couples twitch stream and management refuses to address this issue so I just cancelled my membership. Peace.
This gym is a great place to workout. They have a cardio cinema. The sound doesn't always work perfectly but it does work most of the time. The locker rooms are a little tight, especially on a busy day. They have most of the equipment needed to do most things unless you do big time weights. They don't quite have the range on the dumbbells as the bigger gyms. It's kept clean and the staff is always friendly. There is not a pool or sauna at this location.
Love Vasa! Been a member for 3 years now. Sometimes the machines and pool/ sauna get a little gross. Use wipes for equipment and wear flip flops in the swim area.
I Abhor Vasa Fitness. A ridiculous amount of hidden fees, I paid a minimum of 125$+ extra than what I assumed I would. In regards to Vasa in Draper, this gym is probably the worst one in Utah. Its Tiny, Packed, and doesn't have any amenities that you pay for compared to other Vasa Locations.
Hidden $60 fee upon joining, not clearly marked on website. Not only is there a sign up fee and a cancellation fee if you cancel “too soon” but also a third $60 fee which only gets charged two months after you sign up assuming you won’t notice which is only to “ensure your monthly rate won’t ever increase”. Oh yeah, all that on top of $25/month. If I wanted to spend $100+ to hang out in a space crowded full of Mormon teens I’d go to Lagoon.
Very poor service from Max on my guest pass. Unwilling to lookup any of my guest information since I didn’t have my barcode and actually pitched a fit and huffed when he had to get up from the front desk to get a manager, since he didn’t know what he was doing.
The fact people are following orders to leave a bad reviews while not even attending the location, from a member who was harassing a 19 year old female who works the front desk. He was rejected by her and the harassment got to the point he was banned from the location. Carson is a pos, the people leaving reviews are worse imo.
Great gym if you like to use bathrooms more sketchy than a bathroom at an old run down gas station. Really, it's very gross. I feel like I might catch a disease.
