I had know where to go,was living at the Campgrounds. The people at Vassar in took me in and have been very nice. My son comes every weekend and we have a blast big yard for him to play in,and the land lady sue is great she will help anyone that wants to help themselves.i have lived here for a year and love it don't plan on moving.
This place is run by, a very unruly soul. Namely Sue Wickings! She plays Favorites. Do not get to know her, on a business scale. She does not know how to communicate, on a peaceful level.
The rooms are updated and look good. Owner was very friendly. Nice place to stay!Rooms: 5/5
Good luck.. if your trying to get off your feet it's good.. stay away from your neighbors and don't Interact with the land ladies family..not a place to bring your kiddos.. and they say dog friendly.. but only one guy that lives there permanently has a dog..Service: 2/5
I was treated with respect ,plus I live here ,the staff here are friendly ,the service is goodRooms: 5/5
Not the worst place to stay. I met with couple of accidents and also it's located opposite to funeral home where dead bodies burn every day is all that came to my mind, But had streak of bad luck staying here with some eerie negative feeling not sure how to put it.
A lot of posts stated they accept dogs so I called and the clerk said they do for an extra fee, but when she asked her fellow worker for the correct rate a very rude person named Sue stated they do NOT accept pets! Very unprofessional.
I made a reservation at Vassar Inn and, when I arrived, I almost feared for my life. That may sound dramatic, but I just had an eerie feeling as soon as I arrived. The employee said that all of the rooms were booked for the night, yet no other cars were there. It was early evening so I didn't think much of that yet. Then a guy in a wife beater shirt was sitting in the doorway to one of the rooms and asked if we were the new owners as we were walking to our room. We were assigned one of the rooms upstairs and the door didn't lock correctly, the cable for the tv was out, the sink had rusty water stains, and the bed was rock hard. I didn't like being upstairs and felt that I would have had to sleep with one eye open in case someone decided to break in and rob us or something worse. I did not feel safe at all. We went to dinner and came back around 9:30 pm, and there was still not a single car in the parking lot remember that she had told us they were all booked up for the night. I trusted my instinct and got the hell out of there. We ended up staying at the Frankenmuth Motel...much, much, much better by far. I'm glad to hear that the Vassar Inn is under new management, hopefully they will do a better job.
Great owner, loves dogs, best motel in Vassar. Huge upgrades to the roof and plumbing! Grows the best wild potatoes and asparagus out in the back if you're a seasoned forager!
Nice and fast service from very nice people that is running the place.Rooms: 5/5
