Established in 1960, we are a small animal practice committed to providing high quality veterinary medicine and surgery in a friendly atmosphere. Our team strongly believes in the importance of the human/animal bond and the need to provide the same compassionate care for pets, as we would want for ourselves.

The people are nice. Care is good if you can get in. Very expensive. Our last routine visit cost over $600. I have 2 younger dogs that I had to go to the next town to get them in for regular care due to everything being booked out 3 months. The dogs that have established care there can't get in for tech visits in a timely manner either. Today, I called 4 times before I finally got a person. That person chewed me out and told me to call back when I was in a better mood. I said I am not hanging up as I need care for my dog! She was very rude while demanding I was unkind and she deserved me to know the dogs med chart by heart before I called. Whatever, we just needed dog shots for an established pet, not a lecture on moods. My mood was fine. My frustration was having to call so many times and argue for care.
My little Shih Tzu, Tommy, was very sick and at 14 yo, I knew it was time to let him go. I was a mess, hating to think of life without him! From the minute I walked in the door, the staff could see my despair and helped me through the process. After discussing his condition with the Vet, she still gave me a choice for treatment or euthanasia, which I knew was the best choice to end Tommy's suffering. After the process, both the nurse & the Vet were very kind & understood my distress. A week later I received a condolence card from Sandy Animal Clinic with hand written notes from each of the staff members and a card with Tommy's paw prints! Thank you so much for taking excellent care of both Tommy & me, I will never forget you all!
They were able to get us in same day. The receptionist pointed me to a coupon online for new customers that saved be some money. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was good. We'll definitely be going back.
I've liked this hospital in the past, but unfortunately cannot get in due to them being fully booked out the few times I have called. Im not sure if they are taking on new clients, but this leaves a returning client frustrated. There is a vet shortage right now, but I have to leave a updated review of current times. I'll update if circumstances change in the future.
Very caring and professional, even gave me a large amount of my deposit back. Love my regular vet at Barlow trail veterinary clinic but in an emergency after hours these guys are awesome. Highly recommend, and me and Shadow would like to deeply thank the staff for their TLC.
Every time I have taken one of my dogs to Sandy animal clinic I have always had a great experience. The entire staff has always been very friendly and professional, from the front desk, to the vet techs and all the veterinarians. They are always thorough with discussing options and I never feel like they are pressuring me to do anything. One of my dogs is nervous of going to the vet and they are always patient to try to make the experience the best it can be for her. I would highly recommend for anyone to take their pets to this clinic!
I have had cats for 20+ years and I have used several vets in the Gresham area but I have never been treated so well as when I was at VCA Sandy. They were kind, gentle, informative, funny, positive, helpful, and just had amazing rapport with my cat. I felt comfortable in their beautiful lobby and clean and comforting exam rooms. They were so good with my kitten. I have used Companion, Mt. Hood Animal Clinic, and Banfield Animal Clinic and I have always felt like they pushed me into services I didn't want/need or made me feel like my animals weren't special. I truly felt like Dr. Morse and her vet tech heard what I had to say, validated my concerns and treated my kitten so well. I will definitely be going back with my older cats as well. I highly recommend them!
We have used Sandy Animal Clinic for 18 years as the vet for all of the dogs who have owned us during that time. While the vets, techs and receptionists at the clinic have changed over that period, we've always been pleased with the care our dogs have received...from puppy shots and checkups to major issues with elderly dogs. We're retired now, but I liked the evening and Saturday hours when we were working, especially since we live some distance from the clinic. The staff is very accommodating.
