I want to think a 911 dispatcher this morning along with the police that responded to my call. They handled the situation in the way that it should be handled. The 911 dispatcher asked me to stay on the line until the police arrived and asked me to ask my brother-in-law certain questions.I have respect for the police and I think they handled the situation properly and the way it should’ve been handled. And again thank you. My brother-in-law I will get the help that is needed
My son was missing, he is older but special needs and it was less than 2 minutes from when I called they found him. Both female officers were kind, polite, helpful, friendly, and understanding. No doubt they may have some less than helpful among them, consuder the good they do and the ones doing it. Thanks VPD
I had a noise complaint tonight and the police responded within 20 minutes and called me to let me know it was resolved. They mentioned to please call back if needed. Very nice dispatcher.
I had my stuff stolen from me at The Humane Services Agency across from WinCo. on 10/7/19 the female security told me she saw the woman who stole my items and questioned her. Then told me there was nothing she could do about it, she couldnt call the cops review the tape. She said I had to make the report all my belongings were stolen and they did nothing for me. The person took my backpack then brought it back and left it right outside the door of the HSWA.
Our stolen car was abandoned in the city of Ventura and recovered by the Ventura Police. They didn't even bother to call us. If it weren't for the SVPD, our car would still be sitting at a sleazy tow yard that looks like a chop shop. The car was a half-mile away from the supposed towing storefront tucked away in what looks like an illegal operation. Makes me suspicious of the Ventura Police. And while I'm ranting, the young woman at the traffic window at the Ventura Police Dept thought it was good customer service to do whatever she was working on and make the only person who was in the lobby and at her window me wait until she finished what she wanted to finish after she took my driver's license -- about 15 minutes' wait standing at her window watching her NOT help me while holding onto my driver's license. If any other business pulled this kind of customer service, they would be out of business.
When it comes to discrimination all one has to do is check out what is happening in our own town. I'm positive it must be a difficult job to be a police officer & maybe it's not even the police maybe we need to look further up in our city government. When it comes to domestic violence if u r a female don't bother calling the police. I don't know how there can be such a difference between the officers during the day vs. The night shift?
I love to see the motorcycle Police giving tickets to speeders on Harbor blvd between Oyster and Seaward. Thank you for your service! I drive my family down Harbor every morning and stupid people almost rear-end me trying to beat a light. Thank you very much for slowing down these drivers. Be safe.
I am very happy with my Ventura Police Department. I was born in Ventura 60 years ago. I had my Jeep stolen out of the Ventura Marina in March on the 19th at 3:04 in the morning. My jeep was parked 90 feet from my sailboat. 6 hours later I had my Jeep back and the thief was in jail ! They had sent 5 Police cars and 2 motorcycles out on the hunt for my Jeep. Thank you VPD for expending such resources on my behalf. You ALL are wonderful. Mark A.
Stay strong! Keep up the good work! To those complaining about customer service or whatever, this is law enforcement not a super market! They see the ugly in this city and still manage to maintain their composure and compassion for citizens. Be grateful you have a police department that responds fast and helps keep us safe. The police officer who came to my home which i called 911 becouse of the crazy guy next store to me. He was destroying my prperty calling my parents crude names. There were two officers who came to our home. One was younger but very polite and understanding. His bald older partner was very rude. Made me fill like i was theguiltyparty. He was rude to my mother and my nephew. Oh by the way we all witness what the crazy guy was saying and doing to our prperty. Basically the crazy guy was treated better then we were. One comment from the bald cop we need to go we have more important matters to deal with. I have respect for our police force but when it comes to the ventura police ilost all respect today
