What we as school counselors believe in and practice...
•· School counselors deliver comprehensive school counseling programs which are essential for all students, K-12, in schools throughout Vermont.
•· School counselors are essential in promoting the academic, career and personal/social and emotional learning and development of all students in Vermont.
•· Collaboration, advocacy and professional development help school counselors to best serve their profession and school communities.
•· School counselors advocate for every student and promote equity for all through the use of the ASCA National Model and the Comprehensive Vermont Model.

Reasons to become a VTSCA member:
VTSCA is your local professional organization that advocates for the need and interests of Vermont school counselors and their students.
VTSCA is an organization that fosters camaraderie with colleagues, and in doing so provides opportunities for networking with professional school counselors, graduate students and counselor educators that have the same passion for school counseling as you do.
VTSCA provides professional development opportunities and as member you will receive a discounted rate at VTSCA conferences and events.
VTSCA communicates through a quarterly electronic newsletter containing relevant articles, announcements and information about the school counseling profession and our association.
Members receive a Vermont school counselor directory printed and mailed annually.
VTSCA gives special honor each year to outstanding counselors in the state with the New Counselor and Counselor of Year Awards.
You will have the opportunity to add your voice to the chorus of school counselors committed to school counseling K through 12.
