Bought 3 pairs here and so far I love them all, running shoes that is. I would recommend

So patient and helpful! They will let you test as many pairs of shoes as you want without hesitation. More than an average shoe store... they look at how you walk and make appropriate recommendations for the best fit. Highly recommend... excellent experience!!

This is a great store for runners as long as the shoes you want are in stock. I would caution if you have to order them. Last year we received the wrong color, but went with it and this year we paid for shoes on Aug 11th, they were ordered Sept 2 and just received the call on the 26th that they were in. My son's cross country season is almost over, but at least now he has shoes for the remainder of the school year. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, but don't order any shoes is my advice.

The sales staff really know their stuff. They took their time measuring and watching my son walk in socks to determine what type of shoe would be best. We only had to try 2-3 pair before he found a pair he loved.

The staff really knows their stuff! Very knowledgeable and helpful. I'd never bought running shoes before so they were instrumental in getting the right shoes for me. They asked me questions, checked my feet, arches, the wear on my old shoes, and how I walked, and then got about 6 different shoes that should be good for me. They let me run around the block with each shoe too see if I liked them. No treadmills to test on as of Nov 2016, but they said they will have them in their new store. I couldn't be happier with the shoes I ended up with. Great experience. Highly recommended.

Have waited over a Month to get my shoes. I ordered them hoping to have them 3 weeks later when I went to Vegas for a builder show. I still dont have them. Love the shoes, and love the store but 5 weeks is a little bit long to wait on shoes. :/... it wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't paid for them already. Update: I found out there there was miss communication on my end for color and size! This ended up not being their fault sorry!

It was my first experience getting fitted and he was super kind and extremely helpful! He did not push at all for me to get anything like most stores, he only focused on what I wanted and needed. Best experience!

I ordered shoes from here which the worker said would take about a week to get. The following week I called and talked to a worker not the same one that was there the day I was trying shoes on and she said "looks like they've shipped" So the following week again I called and asked if my shoes were there. They said no. I just called when it had been 3 weeks and a guy who couldn't tell me anything gave me the owners email. I got an email back from her a day later and she stated they tried to call me because the color was back ordered for 9 days, but she would give me a pair of socks for the time delay . First of all I have been lied to because no one left me a voicemail and I had no missed calls from the store. Then when someone told me they were shipped how could that be possible if they were on back order. A pair of socks doesnt make up for the fact I will have waited a month for shoes I could've easily had shipped to my house from Amazon in two days FOR THE SAME PRICE. I live a half hour away and should have never given this place a 4th chance. Also told them I only have a week to break them in before a race. I never write reviews or complain but this was ridiculous. The only reason I gave them a 2 rating is because a month ago when I was trying on shoes the girl was very nice and helpful! She was patient with every customer that was in there.

I was looking for a local place to try on and compare some running shoes I'd been looking at, and was ultimately hoping to make an immediate purchase in-store. I asked around and someone suggested Vertical Runner, because they carried all of the brands I wanted to compare. I stopped in and tried on lots of shoes. The lady was very helpful and even had me try on and compare more than what I asked to look at. I'm very thankful that I was able to try on and test out so many shoes, otherwise I might have truly picked up the wrong pair. Unfortunately, they didn't have the size and color I wanted for the shoe I chose, so they offered to order it for me. The shoes were ordered on Wednesday, July 3rd. The lady cautioned me that the shoes might take a couple of extra days due to Independence Day, but assured me they would be in the following week. I patiently waited for a week, hadn't heard anything, so I called in on the 10th to check on my order. A woman answered. She seemed slightly irritated and asked "Well, did we give you a call?" I politely responded with "Well, no, but I just wanted to check just in case. Or maybe get a tracking update." She checked their recent arrivals and said they hadn't come in yet, but assured me they'd probably be in soon. I patiently waited a few more days. I called in again yesterday, the 14th, and a man answered the phone. Again, I inquired on the status of my order. He checked to see if the shoes had come in, and he informed me they hadn't. He also said he couldn't give me any updates on my order because he "wasn't the person that placed the order and wasn't sure who was." I find it odd they don't have a centralized electronic system for keeping track of customer orders. He just seemed totally confused and wasn't sure how to help me. I really appreciated all of the initial help I received here, and I really wanted to be able to support a local business. Unfortunately, the order is taking too long and they seem to be a bit disorganized. I could have ordered these shoes from Amazon and received them in two days. Instead, I ordered them here expecting it wouldn't take more than a week at most. After reading other reviews here of customers saying their orders have taken several weeks, I've decided to order the shoes from Zappos. Should be interesting to see which ones arrive first.... UPDATE: Never did receive a call from Vertical Runner saying my shoes had come in. Meanwhile, the shoes I ordered from Zappos arrived in 3 days. Minus another star for it being more than 3 weeks later and never getting a call after all this time has passed.
