Viance Nutrition is a fast growing nutrition company located in beautiful Whitefish, Montana. Founded by Walt Landi in 2009, Viance Nutrition product line focuses on proprietary blends of all-natural, preservative free products for vibrant health and vitality.
Walt Landi is no stranger to creating successful companies. For the past 24 years he has been a designer and builder of award winning high-end homes renowned for his innovative use of organic, natural materials native to the alpine landscape in scenic Whitefish, MT –the destination gateway to spectacular Glacier National Park. His company, High Country Builders, has designed and built over 30 homes, and they are currently completing one of the most detailed private homes in the nation, a 20,000 square-foot home overlooking Whitefish Lake for one of the USA’s most successful hedge-fund owners.
In the summer of 2013 Walt launched a new company, Viance Nutrition. Albeit a far cry from home design and construction, it was created based on the same principles that have made High Country Builders so successful: “Be extremely innovative, offer the highest quality possible and pay attention to every detail.” Viance’s commitment to quality is evident by looking at the ingredients of their Nutrition Bars, Vitality Shakes and the Greens Formula powdered drink; all non-GMO and organic ingredients and all products are vegan and gluten-free, as well.
Speaking of innovation, many of Walt’s building clients seek him out for his amazing “timber windows,” a design and building technique created by Landi featuring huge expanses of floor-to-ceiling fixed clear glass tucked between naturally tapered cedar logs, giving the illusion of being outdoors.” Landi says. “People ask how we do it, but I won’t tell!”
So how does one go from building homes to creating nutrition products? When the bottom fell out of the real estate market in the Great Recession of 2008-2009, all building came to a halt in the Flathead Valley, and most builders were scrambling to find whatever small jobs or remodels they could come up with. Faced with having to layoff most of his 50+ employees, Walt found himself stressed out and mentally exhausted. Due to the economic times, his life’s mission was on hold, and he found himself “stuck” in an unfamiliar no-mans-land.
It was at this low time that he decided to start a new diet and exercise regimen and move forward with a new venture. Instead of idly waiting for the real-estate market to come back, Walt felt it was time to reinvent himself and create another company that wasn’t susceptible to the ups and downs of the real estate market.
Determined to get back in top shape and in healthy-mode again, Walt started researching all the available nutrition products on the market. When he couldn’t find any on the market that were all-natural, fairly priced and tasted good, he began making and testing his own nutrition bars and shakes! It was at this time, the idea of starting his own nutrition company took hold. His goal was to create the highest-quality nutrition products that serve the needs all stages of fitness: ranging from the need for weight-loss to maintaining a vibrant high-energy lifestyle.
Walt’s rigorous development efforts eventually led him to meet with a variety of expert nutritionists and a company in California that specializes in developing organic products for the nutrition market. Hence, the beginning of Viance Nutrition.
After four years of extensive product research, development, testing and tasting, as well as designing first-class packaging and an extremely informational website and blog, Viance launched online last July. Sales continue to grow and the customer reviews of both the products and the weight loss program are all glowing. An instant hit on Facebook, most sales have come through positive word of mouth and mouse.
Unlike other nutrition companies that leave you on your own once a sale is made, Viance offers outstanding community support via recipes, exercise tips and informative videos by registered dietitian Natalie Butler, who also works as a part-time dietitian for Apple, Inc. To make their Weight-Loss Program even simpler, the site has a link to their 90-Day Meal Plan which features weekly meal plans complete with grocery lists, a 1-day prep plan and exciting, healthy recipes.
In addition to the testimonials and reviews raving about the weight loss results, Walt thinks the biggest testament to his products are the numerous comments on how great they taste. After all, the best nutritional product in the world is useless if people will not eat it!

Viance launched with four non-GMO, gluten free, vegan products that include 100% natural Nutrition Bars in three flavors, a delicious energy-packed Vitality Shake and their Viance Greens Formula, a powdered drink that contains over 70 healthy ingredients of vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, digestive enzymes and disease fighting antioxidants. They also offer a 30-Day Weight Loss Program that is based on healthy eating and a simple exercise program of walking 30- to 60-minutes a day. Results have been amazing. Product line extensions are in the works and should be available later in 2014.
