Vickery's Shem Creek

1st time dining in at Vickery's. Newer to the Charleston area. Food was good. Drinks were good, had a cosmo with dinner. Had Surf n' Turf. Music was great DJ playing. Service was good, didn't have to wait long for anything. The view is my favorite part of the whole experience.Food: 4/5

I have always loved Vickery's! Loved going here when I lived in Charleston and I will always stop here when I'm in town. It makes me happy the food and quality hasn't changed in the last 20 years!!Food: 5/5

We had a good time. The drinks were great the scenery was lovely. The food was not good at all. I was actually shocked how under seasoned and over cooked our food was. We ordered the jerk chicken and the jambalaya. Both not worth the money. The rice was tough and tastes more like tomatoes. I had 1 1/2 pieces of petrified sausage in there. The jerk chicken; they should be ashamed. It was cooked so hard. It was dry and the raspberry syrup was just odd. If you want jerk chicken, this is not it. The service was ok. I am use to everyone being friendly, but I felt like we got more stares than hellos and smiles. Long story short we didn’t complain and just paid for it all. There was really nothing they could have done it was just not good. If you are looking for properly seasoned food, this is not the place. If you are wanting some drinks, appetizers and a hang out spot they are a good location.

Me and the wife came in here for dinner time. We were seated instantly on the outside back deck. The waitress came soon after to get our drink orders. We started by ordering drinks and and appetizer. We got the warm artichoke dip. It was pretty good. Then we ordered our entrees. I got the Grilled Mahi club and she got the small spinach salad with chicken. We both really enjoyed our meals, they had great flavor, ingredients and portions. Would def order the sandwich again! Our waitress Allie was amazing! The reason I gave a 4 star instead of a 5 is because the foot traffic coming upstairs on the back deck through the dining area and to the restrooms could have been directed better. They should put a gate on the back stairs so the drunks wouldn’t disturb the customers dining in.

Great food, staff and views. Highly recommend the oyster soup and the "Le Bombe" dessert. It was delicious! Great ending to paddle boarding for the day.Food: 5/5

The atmosphere here is really good- beautiful location, and I highly recommend taking a walk out over the water afterwards- it’s lovely. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. Everything on the menu sounds very good but it was very underwhelming. The Asian Sesame Linguine honestly tasted like a bad microwave meal- it was runny, mushy, and lacked flavor. My friend said the Cuban sandwich was very bland.

This is the place to go in MT. Pleasant. The restaurant is very beautiful and can accommodate a lot of people. Drinks were good and so was the food.Food: 5/5

Crystal the manager did not want to seat our party because we were 2 families totalling 7 kids 5 and under and someone who was handicap. She says they do. Ot seat parties larger than 10 and she wouldn't seat our families separately. The restaurant was probably 10% full mind you! Darn shame. Restaurants are struggling for business and you turn it down smh

Beautiful views and real nice inside too. Food was bland, but alright. Calamari very chewy and blah, bready coating. Crabcakes were bordering on cardboard; no special something. Sunset was colorful. Service awesome. There was a 30 minute wait on this Monday night visit, so that says they are doing something right! Parking: Barely any free spots, and lot is tight. Paid spots are through parking app.

An absolute must do if you are ever in Charleston South Carolina. This restaurant is at Shem Creek where one can watch various boats, including shrimp boats as you eat on the deck of the restaurant. At times you can sometimes see dolphins swimming up the creek as well. The food, mainly seafood, but they have burgers and other non seafood items as well. As I mentioned, we love to sit on the outside deck to eat our dinner. Very clean, service is exceptional and pricing is very competitive. Also, Friday nights they have a DJ or even live music for entertainment. Love this restaurant and make sure we go every year. Highly recommended.
