Very satisfied with my experience at the ER and I hate going to the ER. Came in early morning on weekend, no wait, I got taken to a room immediately. They ran all necessary tests, drew blood, and did a bunch of other stuff to make sure everything was looked into. The rooms were clean and the nurses and doctors were friendly and knowledgeable.
Came in by Ambulance with severe pain , diverticulitis with diarrhea and dehydration Weak sent to Hospital by provider Was seen by Family Coastal on Wednesday , had shot in hip , blood work drawn and given a scrip for Antibiotics On Thursday, Family Coastal called me and said I needed to be admitted to hospital for IV fluid also pain medication so I went based on their assessment Arrived at hospital but in wheelchair, EMT got me a blanket continue to wait , EMT s finally rolled me into a room , after sometime a nurse ? Came in , never introduced herself, cut me off when I tried to introduce myself, she never looked at me ! She asked two questions, allergies same , I responded if it was Elizabeth J , she cut me off Second question was are medications same , I tried to gave her my birthdate but she again cut me of She never checked my arm band , another person rolled me into the Lobby and said had no idea when they would get to me I told her I really needed to use the bathroom and was really thirsty, she said they would get to me ! No water no help to bathroom I was in misery. Lobby , Waiting Room full of people 4 or 5 of us in wheelchairs and blankets . After several hours with no one checking on me , I called a friend to come and get me . a person ? Nurse appeared who stared started taking blood pressure, when she got to me , I handed her my B/P cuff and said someone was coming to get me — her response was okay, took the cuff and threw it in the trash can , she walked away No one came out to have me sign a AMA paper so I walked out actually friend carried me because I was too weak to walk . I’m 78 soon to be 79 August 20 with main diagnosis of Heart failure, have pacemaker and earlier had a fever of 101 I couldn’t straighten up because of the pain I hear horrible stories about Beaufort ECU hospital but yesterday experienced it myself I will call both Medicare and Mutual of Ohama today and let them know if they received any bills not to pay them County Commissioners Frankie and Hood I’ll save for Monday plus letter to the editors This has exhausted me As an CCRN Critical Care RN 1978 RN since 1968 , worked Manatee Memorial Hospital 20 years , then came home and worked TMHC as a Therapist for 19 years and left there in 2005 and worked as a director of outpatient Mental Health Services until hospital closed I am embarrassed at your ignorance of running an ER and patient care Respectfully Elizabeth Jewell
My baby is a little over 24hrs old my sons mom is still recovering from surgery and maintenance is currently in the room drilling and changing an ac unit it smells awful. Not to mention it looks like this room hasn't been mopped or dusted in months..this place is awful I dare you to drag a finger across the blinds. If it wasn't for the nurses and doctors like Dr. Early and Dr oneal I would give zero stars. We just ready to be discharged.
Emergency room visits are miserable there is an elderly man that has fallen and has been sitting on the floor moaning for 2 1/2 hours I’ve been in here with my girlfriend for almost 5 hours and all she’s had done is blood work. The staff is not helpful. After the doctor came in and said she had been waiting 4 hours for a urine sample that had been sitting in the room. we are being forced to leave and go to the next hospital. If you are in need of quick help this is not the place to come! Terrible in every way! The waiting room is nearly empty and all the women at the nurses desk are talking about are the best places to eat. Extremely dissatisfied with everyone in this establishment.
10:45 pm my mom’s not received her nighttime medication staff was sent home early too because the census here is low. Why send your employees home and make your patients suffer my mom’s been very sick this week and should not be this late. What’s going on with the medical field people are complaining everywhere.
Hands down the worst ER I have ever been in the people needing help are for got about. The nurses are rude and very uncaring for the people that are sick. If I had the choice between this place and death give me death. I sit with both eyes swollen all the way together and had COVID and was left in the waiting room for 6 hours and there’s was only three people in the waiting room. It should be illegal for a hospital to be run this badly The photos are of the waiting room and this is how it looked the whole night. No one was called back we was just told lies and forgot about.
We been here since 3 pm it's now after 7pm with an open wound and have seen several people who have came in after us and others go and go. They literally let this elderly man who I noticed was aggravated and incoherent and shaking they let walk out the facility and fell an busted his head opened and we still waiting with a opened wound
Horrible birthing experience! Worst hospital I’ve been to in my life! First off, they tell you when your water has broke to not come in unless you’re bleeding, I live 2 hours away. My water did in fact break but they couldn’t figure that out when I got there. Secondly, if it hadn’t of been for me an my husband happily discussing our maternity photos an not being able to wait to meet our child, the nurse wouldn’t of brought it up that someone had put in my information “adoption “ we were in utterly shock! That was a big time mistake someone made that could’ve been very traumatic and scary for us all. Next, they don’t allow anyone in the room with me while I’m getting an epidural. They literally have stuck me 9 times! Trying to find “where to place it”, this lady is in flip flops an acts like she just woke up an doesn’t want to be there. I was over medicated by the epidural, my respiratory leveled got down to 40. I couldn’t breathe I was in an out, they had to bring me off the medication, I heard whistles in my ears, my leg popped, I felt sick, I had a sharp pain shoot down my leg. My tongue was numb. Chest beating fast. I, my husband and my mother were all terrified I was going to stop breathing. It’s unbelievable how these doctors an nurses are getting away with how negligent they are like this, but they are.
The ER was the worst experience I have ever dealt with when it comes to medical so called professionals. Rude and had no idea of anything. Once admitted and was on the floor everyone was very nice. Hopefully never need to go there again!!!
Please do yourself a favor don't come to this hospital ridiculous you have to wait 2 hours on the emergency room after being brought from the ambulance due to a a car accident we got here at 6pm its 9:12 and still haven't be able to get a room. I understand they busy but 3 hours so it doesn't matter if people are in pain 2 hours to get register. We understand people have different situations but passed 3 hours and still waiting its ridiculous.
