The Bellevue Fire-Rescue Department is responsible for providing a variety of Fire Rescue services to our community on a 24 hour 365 day basis. The department responds out of two fire stations. Fire Station 1 is staffed with an Engine Crew from 7:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday and 7:00am-3:00pm Saturday-Sunday. The Battalion Chiefs respond from Fire Station 1 and respond 24 hours per day. The remainder of the hours are covered by paid on call members who respond from home to the station. Fire Station is staffed strictly with paid on call Firefighters responding to the station from home.
Key services provided by the Department include Fire Prevention, Fire Education, Fire Suppression, Technical Rescue response, Emergency Management, and Mutual Aid services.
During our staffed hours, the Bellevue Fire-Rescue Department, in partnership with County Rescue Services, is responsible for providing pre-hospital care for the community of Bellevue. The Bellevue Fire-Rescue Department personnel provide a First Responder level of care and assist County Rescue personnel. County Rescue Services transport all patients and provide a Paramedic level of care.
The department is currently made up of 1 full time Fire Chief, 3 full time Battalion Chiefs, 2 full time Fire Officers, 2 paid per call/part time Fire Officers 2 full time Firefighters, and approximately 35 paid per call/part time Firefighters.
The Bellevue Fire and Rescue Department is dedicated to providing the community with progressive, high-quality emergency and preventative services that support the growth of the community. Responsive services will meet or exceed recognized Federal, State and local standards, regulations, ordinances, and guidelines at or below relative per capita costs of neighboring and comparable municipalities. Each member of the Fire Department is valuable. We are committed to educating the public in specified aspects of health and safety to assure a superior quality of life.
