I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. We made a small, single item purchase and was told 8 weeks out. We decided to order it since it wasn't a critical piece of our furniture collection. 12 weeks out now and no end in sight. I couldn't imagine purchasing a complete furniture set from this company even if it is quality. I called and got the same story about it being on the 'next truck'. Same story as before. I cancelled today and he said he'd send a full refund. We'll see and I'll post what happens. This is 8/27. Still, no check. And no answer to phone calls. Shop here at your own risk.
Ordered a couch and paid for it in 3/14/19; it still is not in as of 9/27/19. Vinar said it would take 12 weeks then changed to 16 and then he wouldn't answer my calls so I had to go to the store twice. He said it would be a couple more weeks. After numerous attempts, again, to contact the owner I finally got a hold of him and requested a refund 8/3/19 which I still have not received and now again he is not answering my call and of course he doesn't use email or any other modern communication. The owner is nice, however, I have no idea how this place is still in business. **Update: Finally received a refund the in Oct of 2019.
I ordered a couple of loveseats 6 months ago!!! Yep, that is right; 6 whole months!!! I gave him the benefit of a doubt because of the COVID lockdown. I talked to him once three months after ordering the furniture to try to get an update. He doesn’t answer phone calls and there is no voicemail. He doesn’t call and give updates. His shop is closed and he is never there. So I have no furniture and am out over $1,000!!! Read these reviews and listen to the advice of those he is screwing over!! He will take your money and you won’t hear from him.
I ordered a couch from him on May 8th of 2019. He said the couch would be ready to pick up “approximately 2 weeks after the state opens” and he wrote that on my receipt for the pick up date. July 15th comes along and the couch still has not been sent so I requested a refund. He said the refund comes from the company the couch was ordered from so it would take about 8 weeks to get it. That would mean I would receive the check by at least September 15th. It is now November 30th and I have not received my refund check. He is not answering my calls, doesn’t have a voicemail, and is never at the store. I spent almost $500 and I have no way of getting it back. I don’t know what else to do!
If I could give a 0 I would. We ordered a couch Nov 7th. Told 8-10 weeks for arrival due to the holiday season. In 10 weeks I called. Owner told me some story about material being back ordered and it would be another 4 weeks. So mid February I called. Owner says another four weeks!!!! as the material is still backordered. We paid in full when we placed the order but No cash refunds- in store credit only. I don't want to purchase anything again from this store. I contacted Best Craft furniture company. The material is NOT backordered. So the owner LIED. Don't buy from this store. Update. 2/14/18 I spoke with the owner who insisted the couch was ordered even though the company says no order was placed for the couch. We left with a check for a full refund.
Ordered furniture at the beginning of April on a back order program. I was told it would be 8-10 weeks. I am not happy with the fact it has been double the wait time, however after speaking to the owner I was pleased that he was willing to work with me to make the situation better. Once I am sitting on my new furniture I will be happy to raise my rating.
Mom bought a furniture set over $1300. Dan i think was his name said it would be ready in 8 weeks. I guess the fabric she wanted was discontinued but they just forgot to tell her for 3 weeks. Now here we are 6 months later and my mom is no closer to her set than she was when she ordered it. And they have a no refund policy and im guessing for times just like this. Buyers beware *edit* here we are in October and my mom is not any closer to her furniture than she was when she ordered it. Will be contacting the BBB and may seek legal action. Enough is enough
*update* 2 just talked to best craft again, they said that our order was not placed until October 21 2017. We ordered with vinar on March 17 2017. This guy still denied it. *update* have now confirmed that we did not even get the correct foam for cushions. This is a reedit of my original review and the first edit. Ordered couch and love seat with 4 pillows, and 8 additional legs taller. On march 17th put a deposit down and and paid in full 4-06-17 Was told 12 weeks due to the back order of the fabric. waiting a couple weeks after that to go in and ask about order. was told then he didn't know what was going on that it might be another 4-6 weeks. waited 8 weeks went back in, same story about not knowing whats going on. was told then that if we had to wait very long that we could get a rebate of 300 dollars back. we asked how long is very long to wait, at that point he agreed we had waited long enough for the rebate but wouldn't get it until furniture came in. Went in 2 more times got same excuses. Finally got our items on Nov. 21. Ordered March didn't receive until 8 months later in Nov. Was told at pick up of items that we weren't getting rebate that day that it had to be requested and it would take 2-4 weeks. I waited until 6 weeks went in to find out whats going on. was told that he would call and find out. go back next week was told that our check was in next batch to be sent out. go back again was told it would be at the end of the week of jan. 26th. I went in on sat jan 27th was paid cash and told the he cashed the check the day before so he could give me cash. Due to reading other reviews with similar problems, i called the company that makes the furniture best craft talked to Danielle she informed me that the fabric was never on back order and that they do not have a rebate program. everything vinar told us was a lie. Danielle also said that they have had other customers call with same problems and that she has called vinar and told them to stop telling people that there is back order on the fabric.
Ordered a chair in July he said it would take 2-3 weeks, he even wrote it on the receipt. After 6 weeks I told him I wanted my money back and he told me that it would take 28 days, I told him I would pick it up and guess what the doors are closed and he is moving to a new store? I have called several times to pick up my money and no answer. I think that it is time to get someone else involved with this man taking people's money and not getting what he promised. He says that he does not have control over getting your money back right away that it has to be done by his accountants... this man uses every excuse in the world as of to why your purchase has not come in or why you cant get your money back in a timely matter. Maybe news 8 on your side would like to get a hold of him or maybe everyone needs to get together and take him to court. this is totally unacceptable.11/16/19 still not answering my calls. It just rings.. 12/5/19 still will not answer calls and store is empty does anyone know where he went?
Wish I could rate it zero stars. Absolutely nothing about this business is professional, from the constant smack talking of competitors, to the cheap handwritten signs all over the place, to the fact that they don't take credit cards. The absolute worst part is trying to custom order anything, which is what they push you to do, because "it'll last you 40 years," but it feels like it takes half that time to actually receive your furniture! Ordered couch & loveseat last March, was told it might take 8-12 weeks. Finally received by Thanksgiving, 8 MONTHS LATER. They aren't bad, but certainly not worth the wait, frustrations, and outright lies. Every single time we went in to check on our order, we were given an entirely different story. First it was the factory on back order, then it wasn't the factory it was actually the fabric that was on back order. They have a new song & dance ready for anything you throw at them. At six months we asked if we'd be getting any kind of refund and the guy said maybe if the wait gets too long. We said, "It's been six months, what do you consider too long??" He finally agreed to refund $300 for the wait and then there was a huge run-around with that. My husband went back and forth from Thanksgiving to the end of January before we finally got the money, when we were told 2-4 weeks. Do not trust any time estimate you are given for anything! I've kept from complaining online before now, but my husband had left a few warning reviews. Today I learned that this guy sent a harrassing note card to our home address because my husband had incorrectly entered the date on his last review that said we still hadn't received our refund. He said that he'd actually given us the refund ONE DAY before that and expected my husband to go back online and edit it and he'd "be checking up on it next week." Or else what, dude? You're gonna keep sending index cards to us in the mail? It was one online review out of many disgruntled customers with similar stories. You screw us over and lie repeatedly for 8 MONTHS on our furniture, then make us wait 2 MORE MONTHS for our refund, and then you have the nerve to harrass us over being wrong by ONE DAY?? I seriously worry about this guy's mental health and the fact that he knows where we live. I hope you're only reading this because you're checking out the business and haven't already ordered something. In that case, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If it's too late for you then get ready to keep waiting.
