Vintage 53 is a wine focused bar on First Street in downtown St. Charles, IL.

The atmosphere is rustic-industrial, making use of locally built reclaimed wood tables, brick, industrial lighting, and decor.

The impressive beverage list features 53 wines poured by-the-glass, as well as beer and premium cocktails. We offer an assortment of flatbreads, small plates, and cheese & charcuterie boards.

We feature live music every Friday and Saturday evening by some of the most talented local artists around.

This is a really cool area in downtown St. Charles. Great place for wine tastings and the best exotic cheese selection around. Cheese with espresso, cheese with water buffalo milk. Really wild. Good selection of wines too. 50% shop, 50% 100% fun.Food: 5/5
Love this place. I love the fact that you can get a great cocktail and wine, sit at the bar and then buy it to take home. Everyone is awesome here!
Great wines and great meat/cheese plates. The menu is vegetarian & non-vegetarian friendly. The restaurant has a cozy and warm atmosphere. Must try a Mezcal Mule along with the Flat Bread Pizza. Please check out the pictures associated with this review.
Vintage 53 is a gem in our community. We came in for a glass of wine and some À la cart charcuterie. While we were waiting for our reservation at a local restaurant. We were blown away! Whether you are stopping by to grab some Gourmet cheeses and specialty entertaining items, just coming in for a glass of wine or attending one of the many events they hold. It will always be an excellent experience. Plus You will fall in love with the staff I know we did!
I was in there for the first time yesterday and not only is it a cool store, but they have a wide variety of cheeses and excellent selection of wines. Their customer service is outstanding and I had a lot of fun trying out a few cheeses and wines before purchasing them. The knowledge of the gentleman who helped me was great and he made the experience and decision choices really fun and easy! I'm definitely going back!
A really lovely spot for a date night. Great selection of cheeses and wines. The two guys that served myself and my wife at the bar helped us out with some recommendations for downtown Chicago as well as helping with wine choices. I highly recommend Vintage 53. See you next time we are in town.
Here on a cold Saturday night, not too packed. Music is good, drinks are good. Good environment, next time I’m in town here again, I’d like to come here. Good ambiance, just lively enough.
Food was good, relatively basic fare for what we had, some cocktails and beer. I honestly can't complain about the "new fashioned" with repesado tequila. Overall good and quiet atmosphere. Very clean and well kept as well.
You need to go HERE!!! The atmosphere is incredible. Its elegant, warm and welcoming. The wines are awesome and John the bartender can make one hell of an old fashioned and makes great conversation. We had the Flat Bread, it's better than most well known pizza places. The crust is the best I ever have had. The ingredients are so fresh and the highest quality. We meet Mario the owner and you can tell he put his heart and soul into this place. His attention to detail is second to none! Thanks for a great date night.
Coming into the door, i was greeted with a great staff with lots of smiles. They were so friendly and very helpful. The wine selection was very good, and the waitress was very helpful on picking out a wine. The owner came out to the table to greet us with a great friendly smile. The food tasted very good as well. This place truely is top notch. I recommended to all my friends. Will definitely be returning for a long time to come.
