This place was incredible! There are so many games for way cheaper than they are online, and there's a lot of collectibles from collectors editions for different media and games. Would highly recommend it if you love games and media, especially if you collect said media and games.
Bill and his staff are amazing. They have always been helpful and kind. They have an awesome selection of games. And if they don't have something they always ask some of the other game shops in the area if they have what someone maybe looking for. You fellas are always kind and helpful!
This place and these guys are awesome! Found some N64 games I had been looking for at a nice price, some Xbox 360 games I'd been missing, and finally found a great condition Sega Genesis that I had a small issue with but they fixed it without any issues! Love this place!
What can’t I say about VIP GameStore? In my humble opinion this is the most premiere locally owned gaming establishment in the area. This isn’t to take away from Retro World & 8-Bit Plus in Nampa, however, they have amazing offerings and are also fantastic additions to the community. Bill & crew have been nothing short of fantastic in my near decade of shopping with them. They get some insane rarities traded in, a lot of which I’ve literally only ever seen here. The shop has a funky motif with the checkered title floor, the “gentlemen’s” tie, it all comes together in a warming, but comical way. If there’s one thing this crew excels in its leaning into their comedic quips. From the radio ad my god please listen to it, to the INCREDIBLE custom artwork 10/10 for games without cases, there’s no shortage of a smile or a good chuckle during your visit here. I’m a huge collector, of retro games & consoles as well as random old school peripherals and accessories and of course I’m a massive Strategy Guide preservationist & connoisseur. In every facet of my personal tastes VIP has bent over backwards not too far backwards as Bill might snap those creaky bones to accommodate my needs and wants and I am forever grateful. They also have an incredibly broad selection of DVDs, Blu Ray, Anime & Television series for all ages & all interests that shouldn’t be ignored. In summary, game shops like this should not exist by any means nowadays but we should all be more than grateful that they do. I really dislike being negative, but I will share fair criticisms as they come up. All in all I’m happy to spread some positivity about some incredible game stores that make this area fantastic.
Great prices, friendly staff, and most of all HONEST. Been shopping with them for a lot of years now. Always fair and always friendly. It doesn’t get much better!
Great pricing, great inventory, and great people. The atmosphere brings me back to the old Hollywood Video/Blockbuster Game store era, wanted to play the classic games I used to love and they have 99% of them. Thank you!
I've been going to VIP GameStore for 10+ years since they opened and have had a great experience every time. They have a huge library of games for every system, including a lot of rare finds. They even carry Limited Run prints of a lot of games. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They're always willing to help find a title even going as far as to track it down somewhere else in town or online. They've even special ordered a PS Vita game for me upon request, which I really appreciated. And the prices for used games, consoles and trade-ins are always fair, better than anywhere else in town. The store is great and they've got a lifelong customer in me.
While the owners are great and the location is awesome, the store itself feels dirty. Some stuff has been cleaned, while other places haven't. Games run great, and consoles do too, but the one I received was dirty and barely worked pictures attached ps1. I'll keep coming but, I'll be cautioned next time.
Great store, even better service by a very kind and nice guy. Got hit by nostalgia looking at old games and consoles. Did not find the game I went looking for so I left with 8 games to make it up.
Consistently amazing, I've been going to VIP games for years now, even after having moved to Eastern Idaho. Make a point to stop in and purchase a few items whenever I am in town. The gentlemen that run the shop are exceedingly polite, quite lovely, and sometimes pretty funny ; Highly recommended. I wish we had something even remotely similar on this other side of the state!
