Tried to make a new patient appointment and after waiting for 3 months for the appointment the day finally came. It's December and I have a cold. The practice refused to see me. If they won't see me when I have a cold when will they see me? Not an office I want to make a relationship with. The receptionist was very kind and could see my frustration. This was a call made by the dr I was supposed to see.
This practice is exemplary in every way. We have been patients for over 30 years. The staff and doctors have always been thorough in their care while being attentive listeners. Unfortunately, Aetna has discontinued their association with the practice due to a failure of negotiations with the Virtua Health care system. I have written a letter to Aetna and Virtua to resolve this situation by January 2023. It is unconscionable that Aetna is refusing to continue providing coverage for this essential health care system in South Jersey.
My experience at Virtua Family Care of Medford is always positive! From the welcome when walking through the automatic doors through the newly redesigned check-out encounter, the staff and Providers are the best at making one feel valued and cared for.
My visit to Virtua, Medford, on December 6 was a very good experience. Dr. Guido does her job very well; her communication style, and medical knowledge, are excellent. I was not delayed, which I also appreciate. I recommend that Virtua location and her.
I became ill on April 20th with a sore throat, headache, and coughing up green mucus. On April 22 I called Virtua Primary in Medford for an appointment and was told they are not seeing patients with my symptoms! What?! You are not seeing sick people? Isn't that what doctors do? They would only let me make a telephone appointment. Could they listen to my lungs on that appointment or examine my sore throat? No. They said I could go to Urgent Care which is also a Virtua facility. Why does this make sense? I went to Virtua Urgent Care in Mount Holly and of course they were backed up because Primary Care shut down. I had to wait in my car for an hour sick as a dog} for someone to see me. They took really good care of me and diagnosed acute bronchitis, and prescribed meds. Why couldn't Virtua Primary Care do this? Oh, I forgot, they are not seeing sick people.....
Like I said they were more worried about padding Medicare send me to this doctor and that doctor when everything was set up I don't like it and I will be calling Medicare but I love Virtua and Mount Holly
Doctor Nectu and staff were very attentive and answered all my questions highly recommend them for anyone’s care
Staff members are attentive and, for the most part, prompt in response to queries or when arriving or leaving the building. Providers I've seen are well-versed and easy to discuss concerns with. They listen carefully and make sure I understand their recommendations which are often included in the paperwork I receive when finishing the appointment. Thank you for your services.
I haven't been seen by a PCP in a few years but I needed a physical for a future job and everyone was very helpful in getting me in in a timely manner. Everyone, receptionist included, went above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed when I needed it. I appreciate that any day, but these days especially when everything is so filled and busy, it meant a lot to me. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and made it easy for me. Thank you all!
Yesterday I had the opportunity to be seen by Paula Preston Dougherty NP for an issue that I was experiencing. She attentively listened to me explain what I had been experiencing. She then thoughtfully explained to me how I could resolve the problem and encouraged me to patiently see how I would enjoy the results. Whenever I walk out of her office, I always know that she has thoroughly come up for a solution to help me get better and that the office visit was a 100% success!
