Whimsically decorated and really lovely staff are a great start to this restaurant. We were greeted warmly and the waiter brought over a high chair for our toddler. The menu had more options than I expected and I appreciated a vegetarian section. My portion was way bigger than I expected, but maybe that's just me. Also, this is Wisconsin, I got a ton of cheese on my burrito. Vegetarian options: A whole section of the menu. It includes standards like burritos, fajitas, enchiladas, tacos and chimichangas. Many of the dishes featured grilled onions. I didn't ask about lard in the refried beans. Kid-friendliness: Waitstaff friendly with our kid. Lots of fun decorations to see, but no crayons or coloring offered.
I went there with a friend after an afternoon of kayaking. The service was fast. The chips and salsa were good and just what we needed to tide us over until our meals arrived. Our food was oh, so very good! I would for sure return. 2 negatives. 1. The AC was really cold. 2. The lighting in the women's bathroom was extremely dim. The 2 negatives are minor. Bring in a jacket/ sweater to keep warm. I'm not sure what to do about the bathroom lighting. I was there to eat, and the food did not disappoint.
I arrived with a few others at dinner time. We waited about 30 minutes for our drink orders to be taken and then a while for our orders to be taken. The chips and salsa were the worst I have ever had from a mexican restaurant. The chips were soggy and the "salsa" tasted like they poured a can of tomato sauce in the bowl. Very disappointing. The entrees were okay. I wanted to order tacos but they had nothing but meals with three tacos, which is too many for me. I looked to the ala carte as I do with many mexican places but there were no tacos listed. So I opted for a burrito and a side of rice. The ala carte menu was $3.25 for a beef burrito and $2.99 for the side of rice. I was charged $8.99 for a "lunch special" when it should have only been $6.50. Very disappointing. The burrito was also only filled with beef. So, a tortilla with just beef inside and nothing else? Pretty poor. Overall, I would say poor service, poor food and way too expensive.
My friends and I stopped here for dinner on our way to Wisconsin Dells. We loved all of the art and bright colors in the restaurant… very cool atmosphere! I had the fajita taco salad and enjoyed it… it had a great amount of meat and veggies! Service was a little slow, but they were also really busy and seemed to be understaffed, so that was to be expected. I’d come back again if I was passing through the area.
l never liked mexican food until Cinco. My first time eating it I was very confused. I had to assemble it myself and it just made me angry. The menu was overwhelming. I was certainly out of my element. Later though I came to appreciate not only the amazing chicken fajitas but the insanely awesome margaritas. I am now a regular and appreciate it all. The service is above average. Everyone is so nice! Paco is my favorite ; Jerry knows when to bring me my bill : I don’t know everyone’s name but they are all wonderful! Very clean as well. I highly recommend this place as a must even if you dont think you like mexican food because chances are you will at the very least like the margaritas!
Are waitress took our order party of 7 people with 3 separate tickets without writing it down!!! Unbelievably correct with exceptional speed and service! Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is available.
Food got to our table fast and tasted ok. Waitress never checked on us at all after ordering our food. Leaving us with empty drinks. Second time here and dropped it a star. Food came out fast, however once again service just did not cut it. Brought wrong margarita to us and never brought our waters.
This place has really good food! We called and made reservations ahead, however, all 12 of us got to sit together. They were patient with our ordering, gave us plenty of chips and salsa and all of our food was delicious- the food came quickly and nobody had a meal they didn’t like.Dine in: Yes
What place would you go to for Cinco De Mayo? How about Viva Cinco De Mayo! Great atmosphere, beautiful restaurant! We had Pedro as our Waiter, he was so nice..Hell, e veryone was so nice! And the food!! OMG! We had Margheritas, they are on Special, I had the Taco Salad and hubby had Steak Fajitas..which he promptly scarfed down! And if you're lucky enough, you'll be entertained by a beautiful singer! The whole experience was awesome ! But I'll be back because I need to take more pictures of this beautiful restaurant!
This place has really gone down hill. Service was horrible. The owner seated us....That was nothing more than us following her and her throwing our two menus on a table and walking away.....Ok I guess we sit here. We sat there for oh 10 min before the one and only decent employee they have who was cleaning tables brought us chips. The margarita's were good. The food was ok at best. As we finished our meal at closing they cranked their music to the point of not being able to even have a conversation as we finished our meal. This place is trash. Save your money or if you want good Mexican food go to Arcadia you won't be disappointed. I hope the owner reads this because you know your business is failing . Now back to my suggestion of going to Arcadia if you want great food and GREAT service go to Santa Fe the owner is Metao and is an awesome business owner and knows how to treat his customers and employees. PS I hope the gentleman cleaning the tables gets a new job you don't deseryto have a hard working employee like him.
