Our mission is to provide the pet owners of Volusia County, the surrounding ares, and their pets with the best and most compassionate emergency veterinary care available. To also provide daytime practices with an emergency veterinary relief when in need.
The Volusia Animal Emergency Hospital is the result of considerable effort and investment on the part of numerous Volusia County Veterinarians to provide quality, compassionate, emergency medical care for your pet. When we opened our doors over 30 years ago our mission was simple to provide the best emergency care for your pet when your veterinarian is closed.

Each of our professional trained and licensed veterinarians has an advanced degree and certification to practice. We also have skilled and certified veterinarian technicians and assistants. Everyone in our staff has a deep love for animals and is deeply committed to provide high-quality service and care.
We do not perform non-emergency service such as routine vaccines, dental cleanings, etc. Any non emergency condition discovered in the course of examination will be brought to the client's attention so the treatment may be referred to your regular veterinarian.
A full time veterinarian and support staff operate the hospital. We believe in superior care for a sick or injured animal results in owners obtaining emergency care in cases where animals might otherwise not receive medical treatment until daytime veterinarian hours.
Health and Safety Policy
For the safety of all animals, staff and visitors to our practice, we require you keep your pet restrained while in our lobby to avoid any discomfort. Please put your pet on a leash or in a pet carrier before entering the lobby if possible.
Payment Methods
Volusia Animal Emergency Hospital does not extend any credit. We accept Care Credit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, checks with a valid ID and cash.
Hours of Operation
Monday - Thursday 6:00pm to 8:00am
Friday 6:00pm to Monday 8:00am
Open 24 hours a day on major holidays, and when day-time practices are closed.
Appointments
No appointments necessary. Emergencies always receive top priority, so an occasional delay is possible.
