One of the best experiences our family had for our celebration of life for our mother. The care and professionalism of the staff was excellent. Our family so deeply appreciated how the display and video they created for the celebration of life was. Thank you for everything you did for the sad time for our family. Thank you again for what you did!!!
Sadly I lost my husband the end of April. Volusia Memorial in Port Orange was the best. They compassionately walked us through every painful step. From the limited timeline, to dealing with the special services provided by local law enforcement agencies, to our individual roller coaster of emotions was nothing short of magnificent. The Visitation was set up beautifully and the food was excellent. The collection of personal items were perfectly displayed. Honestly, they managed to make the best out of the worst days of my life. Not having to worry about transitioning from their facility to the funeral site, the next day was everything to us. They tended to every detail, large or small beautifully. Our thanks to the entire staff. Everyone had their role to play and it all worked out perfectly..Martha Szabo and family.
Everyone involved in the arrangements for my husband were very kind, compassionate, and helpful in this process. They went out of their way to make sure we were pleased with all arrangements. Thank you, Family of Dannie Webster
I would like to express my appreciation and thanks to Sean and Nico who helped me plan a dignified service for my mom who passed away 2 weeks ago. Because I was my mom’s caregiver, you can imagine how devastated I was by her passing. Throughout these weeks the gentlemen at Volusia Memorial were caring, supportive and attentive to all of my requests. On the day of the service every detail was perfect including the support workers who set up the chairs under the shade of a magnolia tree, the gentleman who engraved the year of death onto her niche stone, the workers who sealed up the ash location and the deacon who presided over the service. Every aspect of the service was perfect. Thank you Sean, Nico and all others involved.
On behalf of myself and two daughters, we would like to thank Volusia Memorial Funeral Home for the outstanding service that they provided for my husband’s Celebration of Life. Sean Anderson lead the team to create a unique and beautiful service. He was kind and caring and took much of the burden off of us through this very emotional and stressful time. He guided us in making decisions for many things that we would not have thought of. The decorating team was amazing and it was so personalized, capturing the true essence of who he was. The military flag service with the playing of “Taps” was emotional and perfectly done. Again, we would like to thank Sean Anderson and the Volusia Memorial staff in making this very difficult time, so much easier and lessening our burden. We would highly recommend Volusia Memorial Funeral Home to everyone, as they are top notch.
Sean Anderson and his colleagues at the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home turned what could have been a very difficult and sad day into a Celebration of Life for my wife that was honoring and very meaningful. I found the entire experience working with Volusia Memorial Funeral Home to be supportive, respectful, and kind. Sean and his team were patient and helpful with all our questions and assured that our requests were met with solutions that worked best for us and our efforts to honor my wife. The Celebration of Life event exceeded our expectations to every creative and respectful detail. For such a difficult time in my life, Sean and his Volusia Memorial Funeral Home colleagues provided a sense of peace, support, and a Celebration of Life event for my wife that I am grateful.
Both Juan and Keith were exceptional in the handling of our father's service! We had a few questions and changes that they handled immediately. The personal items the funeral home added to our father's memorabilia created a personal touch to his service. Our father's celebration of life was complimented by many of those in attendance!
Losing a loved one is truly a difficult time for families. However, Volusia Memorial Funeral Home makes a difficult time easier to navigate. The team is considerate, understanding, helpful and compassionate. April came to our home to discuss pre-arrangements and was extremely helpful in explaining our options, Tracy was exceptional, at easing the process after Mom had passed, she had the ability to put you at ease by providing answers to the questions you had forgot to ask. Juan was there to provide the necessary paperwork and kept us informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend Volusia Memorial as your Funeral Home of choice when the time comes for you or a loved one.
We have used Volusia Memorial Funeral Home for quite a few members of our family. Most recently it was due to the sudden death of my father of cardiac arrest. However, each time we have never been disappointed in their quality of care. In a time where you are hurting and just cannot think of everything that needs to be done, this is where every employee has just been awesome and has always stepped in to make sure that our loved one has had exactly what we have wanted. Our most recent visit we had the privilege of working with Sean who by far was amazing. He took time with my mother and myself and understood my mother's budget for my father's funeral. He never pushed for sales or additional upgrades or anything. Sean also worked with us as we were trying to get my father his 21 gun salute at the grave site. He called countless people to see if that could happen but unfortunately due to know fault of his own we were unable to get that. But he did make sure that the men were there to present my mother the flag and play Taps. Garry was great working with regarding the burial aspect of my father. He also took time with us after my dad's funeral, days later to make sure my mother's affairs for burial were also in order. And the young lady who took care of making sure my father was properly dressed, his hair was nicely done, and all did an amazing job herself. We never got to meet her but I do want to recognize the great work that she did. Because my father looked like himself and that was something very important to me for my mother. So if you are looking for a funeral home that will treat you as if your loved one was part of their extended family look no further because Volusia Memorial is by far an exemplary Funeral Home.
At the worst time in our lives, losing our young daughter, Sean Anderson came along to help us on our tragic journey. His professionalism and compassion helped us make decisions we would have never been able to make without his guidance. He was accessible 24/7 to us and went above and beyond to ensure our child had the most dignified care. From the viewing with the most beautiful life wall to the most reverent service and burial, Sean went the extra mile to ensure it was perfect. He always let us make decisions and even change our minds at a moments notice. We never felt rushed or vulnerable. We could never express with words what having Sean with us truly meant.I highly recommend entrusting your loved one to the care Sean Anderson with Volusia Memorial.
