Great park with many amenities including: a small parking lot, water fountain, hand sanitizer station, great play structure for kids and swings, covered patio area with multiple picnic tables, basketball court, beautuful art sculptures, a nice grass area, and many walking paths. Park was well-kept, and clean. My 5 year old had a blast.
I brought kids here to play and they enjoyed the playground. The difficulty is that there is a nice flat grassy area uphill from the playground that one might assume is a place for anyone to use. But it seems that many people think of this as an un-enclosed dog park. I'm actually totally ok with this... the problem is that there is A LOT of poop in the grass and a kid is inevitably going to step in it. If dog owners are doing meet-ups here, a nice way to say thank you back to the community would be to pick up some extra poop, even if it doesn't belong to your dog. I try to do this when I use the enclosed city dog parks b/c it's like paying it forward. I might have missed seeing my dog do his thing, so let's just work together to keep the park nice.
It's such a great park with amazing view of both mountains and sunsets . Great family place ! The park in which it was named , holds deep meaning to me and my entire family. W L Jackson was my dad and My forever hero !
Great park, lots of activities and a good variety.
Great park for dogs and families. Doggie bag station and trash cans for dogs. Basketball court, playground, water fountain and bocce ball. People donate tennis balls and frisbees for the dogs!
Watch out for the lizards... They get really hot in the sunshine...
Cool little park you can bring your little ones to knowing they will have fun. It is clean and pretty well maintenanced.
Good for the kids, the dog, and the old guys playing Bocce ball. The dog park is not enclosed and right next to the park. Right off of Tramway also.

Arrived at dusk. Got to see some deer and it's fawn. Pretty cool. Lucky too. Great view great scenery!
