We went here for my dad's birthday and it did not disappoint!!! I had the red fish pontchartrain and it was honestly a 10/10. The wine sauce was so decadent and there was lump crab and shrimp on top. We had crab-cakes for an appetizer and goodness those were amazing too. We wanted seafood next to where my dad lives so we tried this place out on a whim, not expecting anything special but WOW the staff and food was unbelievable. I have been nonstop talking about this place for almost a week.

I am from Louisiana and have tried to find shrimp and catfish that live up to my expectations. I finally found it! The breading on both was perfect! The Wahoo sauce has become my new favorite dipping sauce for shrimp. The catfish was flaky, delicious and the dipping sauce was amazing! I chose the creole potato salad and green beans and both were a great choice. There was plenty of food, enough that I brought half of it home for dinner. The food is made to order so be patient, it’s well worth the wait. I can’t wait to go back and try some other items on the menu! I live in another neighboring town but plan to make the trip just to eat at Wahoo’s. Service was also great!

Full disclosure, I haven't tried their etoufee yet, so this review is a first impression lol. The atmosphere was a pleasant surprise, and the service was phenomenal! This a place you go to eat damn good made from scratch food, so go when you have the ability to relax and take your time. Even though it was a long wait for our delicious food, the staff were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Definitely will be coming here again for a nice upper scale date night

This was such a nice surprise! We were wanting dinner and we’re on our way to our air b&b and saw this resturant and I’m so glad we stopped in. Great and friendly service! The gator appetizer was seriously probably the best gator we’ve ever had. My Catfish & Oysters was excellent and my husband said his Mahi was awesome. The food is great! The key lime pie is so good it has the right amount of lime and sweet and it’s so silky smooth. Overall this place was so good and budget friendly as well. We’ll be definitely stopping here on our way out of Kerville! Highly recommended!

Food: Very delicious. We had the fried catfish, fried shrimp, and chef special red fish with an alfredo sauce. As well as the house made tartar sauce. Those were all excellent! We didn’t like the rice pilaf, stewed okra or the grilled shrimp it was over cooked. The blackened mahi wasn’t a favorite but others may like it. Just a note for next time to try some different sides… Favorite sides discovered: green beans, the red beans and rice, side salad and the french fries kids liked. Service: Excellent. We had a great experience!

After a short wait I got a booth. Order the shrimp boil and six raw oysters off the appetizer menu and added red beans and rice and stewed ochre ala carte. All outstanding! Service was great, very polite and friendly, but I did have one disappointment. They only had Diet Coke instead of the MUCH better Coke Zero. What’s with that, Wahoo? Room for improvement. Your food saved your 5-Star review. The only thing you could do worse than Diet Coke is to serve Pepsi. Don’t even think about it.

Waahoos delivers a delicious seafood meal. My husband had the catfish platte, and I had the combo platter. It was very tasty! Parking: Approximately ten spots for parking in front of restaurant.

Recommended by my sister, went to Wahoo's and my expectations were exceeded. Exceptional food, friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere made this a great meal. Every plate I saw looked exceptional. Don't let the exterior fool you. This is good food.

This place is amazing!!! Every dish we ordered was exceptional! Service was excellent also! Never expected to have such wonderful Cajun cuisine in the middle of Texas, so we were very pleasantly surprised !!
