Went in on a busy Saturday to pick up a new prescription. Thought my co pay was $50. Mary noticed that they didnt have my insurance information and suggested that I go to "drop off" to update the information. Kira noticed that my card was expired and asked if I had the new one. She promptly updated it. Went back to check out and the balance due was zero ! I was then transferred to the pharmacist and she was even kinder and helpful !! Great team work at this location :
A bit of back story: my two kids have coughs. I called the doctor as soon as my son started coughing a few days ago, asking if he should be tested. The nurse said just to monitor him for changes and/ or additional symptoms. Then my daughter caught it, but the cough was still the only symptom. So I brought my daughter to Walmart for her second dose of COVID vaccine. When I made the appointment online, I was prompted to answer whether she had any symptoms, so I checked off cough, and still got the appointment, so I figured it was fine. When we got there, though, the pharmacist asked if she had any symptoms. I said yes, she has a cough. The pharmacist made a face. “But she’s been tested for COVID, right?” “No,” I said, “the cough is her only symptom.” She made another face. I said, “Why, is it dangerous to give her the vaccine if she has COVID?” Instead of answering my question, she tersely replied, “Well we should know if she has COVID.” She went on to say that you didn’t have to have any other symptoms, that a cough is a COVID symptom. She recommended I test her and bring her back. While her suggestion was fine, I resented how it was delivered. The way she interacted with me, I felt judged. I was going to test my daughter in the car and bring her back into the pharmacy for the vaccine, but ultimately decided against it, as I wanted as accurate of a read on the test as possible. Mostly, though, I was really offended by this woman’s attitude toward me, as if I was a lousy parent. I take the best possible care of my children, am a good mother. I simply trusted the nurse I spoke to earlier this week, when I called the doctor. So, to make a long story short too late, my synopsis? Don’t take your kids to Somersworth Walmart for the vaccine.
Very friendly and good answering questions. Line moves quick
The pharmacist Christine is extremely kind and professional. I was having an issue with new medicine and thought I had a bad reaction, couldn’t talk with my doctor since it was closed, and they answered all of my questions and gave me very helpful advice for until I can get in contact with my doctor again.
What kind of store doesn't collect carts!? Go inside and neither side had any carts! Don't you pay people to bring them in? The rain must mean they don't have to do their job! Glad my child and I could get soaked, because you don't hire anyone that will do their job! No carts, means no business from me.
Love Walmart, hate that there are never any effin' baskets at this specific one... EVER. NEVER! I've been sent into a basket induced rage a few times upon the realization that they never will have baskets, and none of the staff will ever know where any of the baskets are, and i will either have to not get everything I need, or needlessly push around a cart which I refuse to do..................... aside from that, yeah it's a WalMart it's great. Can we send them some more bloody baskets please?
They were a little bit more money for my prescription but at least they had it
I filled an RX at a Hannaford a couple of weeks prior to the beginning of this charade and had gotten a different brand of medicine than I normally get. I thought it would "interact" in my body the same, given it claims to be the same chemical make-up. Anyways, this medicine was not helping me slow down my racing mind as this medicine normally does for me helps me slow down and calm down so things aren't so overwhelming and rushed. I called my doctor and told him how I was feeling agitated, emotional, scatterbrained and he said that sometimes people have adverse effects to different brands. He wrote me a new script and told me I could go and fill the RX and to make sure to get the normal brand that works for me. 1/18/19 I drove to his office and picked up the paper script and dropped it off at the pharmacy in Wal-Mart that afternoon around 4PM. Pharmacist: "give me 20 minutes and you can pick it up." 25 minutes later: I go up to the pharmacy. Pharmacist: "It is going to take longer than we thought. Probably another hour. " I drove 20 minutes to pick up my daughter and then back to pharmacy 40 minutes total trip. Pharmacist: "oh, it looks like your doctor will need to approve this. The office is closed there, we will try to contact him tomorrow. And we will let you know when it is ready." A couple of days passed. I called my doctor and let him know Wal-Mart is trying to get a hold of him. He told me that he had already spoken with them a couple of days ago. 1/21/19: I call the pharmacist to see if my RX is ready. Pharmacist" "oh, we can not fill that until the 26th." Me: "what happened was that I had gotten the wrong brand of medication and my doctor wrote another RX because this medicine is not effecting me well." Pharmacist: "well you can't fill it until the 26th.". 1/26/19: I called the pharmacy to ask if the RX was ready to be be picked up because they had told me the 26th, it would be ready. I was given no explanation or empathy but told that "it will be ready on the 28th." 1/28/19: I checked the Wal-Mart app and found a "still processing your order, possible pick up tomorrow 1/29/19 at 10AM. I will call tomorrow. This has caused me some great frustration. Not only was I unable to pick up a medication that helps me with my daily life but helps me to feel calm and organized in my head rather than rushed and aggitated, I was not told about several of the "road blocks" along the way but not told anything or was lied to /mislead regarding my RX being filled and when. I will not use this pharmacy again. I am very dissatisfied and disgusted by the lack of truth, service, empathy and service from the Wal-Mart pharmacy in Somersworth,NH.
Seems to be a every month back order on my script
How about opening up lanes so we don't have to pay these prices just to check out and bag our own groceries!!!
