About a month or two ago, I went to pick up a prescription for my dad, and it wound up not being filled yet. According to the pharmacy tech, their pharmacist was on lunch break, so I took an hour myself to try again. After returning to the store, the pharmacy tech had snapped at me, "I told you your prescription would be ready when I called you." My dad's contact numbers are a landline and his cell phone, so I wouldn't know if he got a call. I wasn't pushy or demanding - I just asked a question. That's no way to treat anybody. Because of this rude pharmacy tech I won't be back for my own prescriptions. Nobody should be treated like I was for asking a question, customer or not.
The staff at this location is superb. Many of the "up-front" staff try to welcome their customers as they enter. Several of them go out of their way to help. The pharmacy team has been very helpful on several occasions trying to find ways for me to save money on very expensive prescriptions. If it weren't for them, my out of pocket costs would be extraordinary. I'm very grateful for their patience and advice. As I was waiting to speak to a representative at the pharmacy, I observed one technician and the pharmacist speaking very calmly to a customer who obviously was confused over his prescription. They defused a difficult situation the customer wouldn't take no for an answer as they explained that the customer would need to get clarification from their doctor and then re-submit a prescription. Simple? Yes. But it's how they handled it that was very impressive. They were very professional. While everyone is short-staffed these days, the team at this location works through this and does the best job they can. They're very deserving of five stars.
I don’t even know where to begin to describe the complete lack of customer service, professionalism, common courtesy, and common sense that I’ve experienced at this Walgreens location. I’ll try to keep it short: standard scripts are never in stock, when you call to speak to the pharmacy you’re put on hold for a really, really long time, and most of the store and pharmacy staff are miserable, RUDE, and unwelcoming. Save yourself the aggravation and poor customer service. Don’t even walk in. GO TO Rite Aid, practically next door to this utterly lacking Walgreens location.
I am furious with this company! I was kept on hold for over 45 minutes saying i was 2nd in que. At 8:58 a pharmacy tech FINALLY answered. I was calling to check on a prescription that had been ordered 3 weeks ago. She said my prescription was in and I can come pick it up anytime. So on top of a 45 minute wait my prescription has been there and ready and I never got a phone call. I had told the technician I had been on hold for about 47 minutes at that point. Her response was oh we changed our hours. We are now open at 9 a.m. I know yesterday we were open at 6 a.m. but the time change went into effect today. so again I ask to speak with a manager. She again informs me of the time change and apologizes for me being on hold and the system not being updated and offers me points on my stupid Walgreens card which I do not even have. Moral of the story Walgreens needs to get their act together. Their time change is not on their website, neither is it on their Automated machine nor is it on Google. after I pick up my script this afternoon I will no longer ever use this Walgreens. If you are reading this please share it with your friends clearly I'm not the only person that's had a problem with this Walgreens and all of these issues need to be addressed.
I just got yelled at by a associate for touching a stuffed animal on a display. The young lady had a major attitude problem issue. Like girl please.
My time is valuable. The Walgreens store was not open by 6 AM as posted on Thursday, September 16. I waited at the door and could see a store associate walking through the store but the person did not open the door. I missed a 7 AM religious service because of this. DON'T POST 6AM if your store doesn't actually open the doors at 6 AM. No excuse!
Alright, so it sounds like a lot of people are razzing the pharmacy. I haven't visited the pharmacy myself, but I've had bad experiences at other pharmacies so I can imagine. I just wanted to say that the NON-PHARMACY STAFF are TOP NOTCH! I have visited this Walgreens a few times for various snacks and drinks, and I can tell you that the cashiers are probably the nicest, friendliest staff I have ever encountered at any store. If anyone from corporate is reading this, they all deserve raises!
This phamacy manager denied my prescription, my Dr. felt I needed. I am new to the area and called ahead to see if I would have any problems even before I sent had the prescription sent there. She was very rude and condescending on the initial call, asking me how she fit into my equation. She then flagged me for have multiple addresses. Hence, new to the area. "Moving". My health care was held up a full day and an embarrassing situation being flagged. My Doctor gladly switched my prescription to CVS, where I had zero problem and was offered guidance. I have since learned others have been denied prescription by this manager. Save yourself the worry, Rite aid is across the street.
Worst pharmacy! Not because it's Walgreens though. Walgreens as a company is great. This location is the WORST in the country! Some of the staff is very nice, but they are either clearly understaffed or completely aloof to the fact that customers are waiting either at the counter or at the drive up. Whenever I'm in the store at the counter, there are always at least 2 or more employees who I see, who I know see me, yet they have NEVER ONCE greeted me or to tell me someone would be with me momentarily. When I do say something to get their attention, they then tell me someone will be with me soon. Some of their employees either need some serious customer service training. One of their younger employees in particular is so unprofessional and immature. She completely mumbles into the drive up microphone that I needed to ask her 4 times to repeat herself, just to get a rolling of the eyes at me. I can't believe Walgreens as a company would allow this level of rudeness and UN-professionalism. Maybe management and/or the pharmacist needs to start doing their job of managing their team, because this pharmacy is a laughing stock!!
Avoid. I left crying. It took two hours to get a common med non-narcotic. The pharmacy I go to was out so I ended up here. The pharmacist refused to help when their was a glitch in the system and it was not excepting my full coverage. She tried to charge when I have FULL insurance and my medicine is FREE under long term care and, it is illegal to charge/violation of medicaid and medicare to charge when full coverage is present. she would not listen to me and refused to transfer my script unless I went to the other pharmacy and get them to call and ask. I had been waiting four hours. I guess they needed a third card but the pharmacist refused to work with us for me to know that she was enjoying yelling at me and generally being abusinve and was SMILING ash she tried to trigger me. I am on long term care and valuable staff hours were lost. The manager was GREAT he really fixed it and smoothed it over. But it was so bad it was a struggle to shift the bad mood caused by them.
