Went in at 10:57 to pick up some otc medication for upset stomach. I usually don’t like going anywhere close to the closing time but was really feeling bad. When arrived the front door was closed. An employee came out to tell me they were closed. When I said they usually close at 11 he gave me an attitude and told me they had no way of charging me because they had already closed the registers. He had a very nasty attitude. Unbelievable.
My scripts were suppose to be ready yesterday and confirmed to my nurse upon my release from baptist. They were NOT and are suppose to be delivered still don't have them one of which regulates my heart beat. THEY DON'T CARE
Never again wallgreens. Your employees do not understand what they are doing. Saying that you don't know my insurance, Tricare, and asking for my social security number is not the way. Saying I have to pay $200 for my insurance covered medicine, insurance you accept, it is unacceptable. If your employees do not understand something, get somebody who does and do not fight or try to belittle your customer. Especially when that customer has been getting their medicine with you for the past 4 years, for their entire family, with the same insurance you have suddenly refused. Make it make sense. A little bit of training and attention to detail can go a long way.
This is the worst Walgreens Pharmacy I have ever been serviced by. I have my prescriptions there and it is always a nightmare to pick them up. The drive thru is terribly slow and the cars pile up to a long line. They are not courteous at all to even inform customers of the many employees roaming around. I am crazy to leave this pharmacy and I will. I rather deal with CVS.
Town of Cutler Bay is aware of the damage to The community by this Walgreens & will be taking ACTION! Today I had an encounter with Magda whom was extremely rude, had me wait over 10 minutes because she was helping a NEW employee. She said I needed to wait because I was young and there was a new employee. After waiting so long she started saying things under her breath and got another costumer involved. The customer started calling me names and Magda found it to be funny, at the end, I left and did not buy anything, I will be writing to corporate as well. The employees think they own the place, little do they know they are easily REPLACED
This store has consistently very poor service. Prescriptions take forever to get filled. I mean days. And as of now, I’ve been waiting 1.5 hrs for a COVID vaccination I booked an appointment for. All the while staff are standing around doing very little.
Urgent care sent antibiotics for my child after business hours last night so I attempted to call the pharmacy this morning to confirm scripts had arrived. I attempted to call the pharmacy four times over the course of the morning and afternoon. Each time over 15 minutes on hold. I even held the line through the 30 min lunch break. Still. No answer. Finally, I go in person and the pharmacy is closed early. This is the second time this pharmacy is closed without notice and my scripts are essentially stuck in their system. A understanding store associate told me to call the 24hr store on 137th Ave and have them transfer the scripts internally. They too don't answer the phones!!!! I had to DRIVE TO THE URGENT CARE and have them cancel the scripts and resend them to another pharmacy. When they filled them, they informed me that Walgreens had already filled them so my insurance would not pay twice. I ended up paying cash price for my sick child because of the sheer incompetence of this store. A simple phone call could have resolved this issue. Someone answering the multiple calls could have resolved this whole issue. A message saying, "We're sorry, the pharmacy department is closed at 3pm due to an emergency" would suffice. I understand that staffing is an issue nowadays, as I work in this industry, but not excusable for NO ONE to answer a single call or message over the course of four hours. This all could have been avoided by answering a simple phone call. If the department can't answer a call because they are so overwhelmed by the volume of work, call corporate or the Board of Pharmacy. Clearly, I'm not the only person complaining about this issue with the phones.
My name is Carla Mendoza, I'm not used to doing this kind of thing but it seems to me that this pharmacy is already too disrespectful. I've been trying to pick up some prenatals vitamins for a month and it's always a problem and a push and a disorganization today they tell you one thing tomorrow another it's horrible until unitedhealthcare and my doctor has called the pharmacy and they tell them that everything is fine and when I go to pick it up, it's the same problem as if the insurance doesn't cover them or if the doctor has to send the prescription.... in short, I'm embarrassed to call the insurance and the doctor because of Walwreens, so according to the pharmacists, I They tell me that neither the insurance nor my doctor has called the pharmacy when I have spent hours in a triway with the three of them. Honestly, I feel super bad that today there are people as inconclusive and as unprofessional as they are and disrespectful because they ignored me and I've already seen that I'm not the only person who has had the same thing happen to them with that pharmacy, there are several.
Worst pharmacy ever! They need new management and customer service training. Always putting people on hold and hang up after a while. Three days days not one hour to refill a prescription. This is dangerous when people depend on life saving meds. Each person in drive through is a 45 minute wait. Update a year later: Still takes an hour for each customer in drive through. They do not answer phone to handle requests or if they do they put you on hold and hang up! They need to hire someone to just answer the phones! And have people come back after putting in requests instead of having them hold the line hours for meds!
Don’t bother calling the pharmacy. They’ll have you on hold forever and then end the call. The long waits at the counter and drive thru are also ridiculously long. The pharmacist herself took care of me in under 5 minutes. She was polite and efficient but she seems to be the only one working. Severely understaffed. Find somewhere else for your prescription.
