Walgreens is a household name, so I don't think I have to explain the premise here: pharmacy, casual shopping, photo printing, etc. As of 11/9/2022, this particular location has no self service check out. The newer staff have been good additions, very friendly people.
This Walgreens. Three trips here, three problems. Done with them. Strike 1: They charged me $90 for my prescription because according to them I had two active insurance plans. The one they insisted was primary I hadn’t had in over a month. This is mostly a Cigna problem, not Walgreens. But then I asked about using GoodRx instead and the lady flatly responded that I could “if you can find one.” Great. I found one showing it would be $35. She scans it, and it’s still coming up $90. This was a medication that I was completely out of and didn’t want to be dizzy and nauseous the next day, so I just paid it. She was entirely unhelpful for the whole thing and acted like I was bothering her. Strike 2: Went to get a drive thru Covid test. Waited a half hour in the drive thru line only to be told to pull up and someone would come help me. So I pulled up past the window, parked, and waited another 15 minutes not knowing what else to do, thinking they’d come to my window or something. I finally drove back around and asked what I’m supposed to be doing and she had no idea why the other guy told me that and gave me the swab right there at the window. The second lady was fine, I get the feeling the first guy either didn’t know what he was doing or just didn’t want to deal with it. Strike 3: Today my doctors office sent in a prescription for Tamiflu. My 2 yr old and I see the same doctor and she tested positive for flu. I’m having symptoms and am pregnant so she sent it for me too. I was already done dealing with this location at this point, but unfortunately I hadn’t changed it to Kroger pharmacy for primary care, only OBGYN, so it went here. I know it went here, because I can see in MyChart that it was sent this afternoon. When I called to see if it’s ready I’ve also never received a text or phone call when things are ready at this location despite asking to be, she lied and told me they never got it. I told her I can see where it was sent. “Well we’re out of stock anyway.” Thanks for nothing. I called my doctor’s after hours line to see if it could be sent to Kroger instead and they lied to the nurse too, who also told them the exact time it was sent to them today. Luckily the doctor on call got it sent to Kroger. All this to say: don’t waste your time here. Worst case they’re liars, best case they have horrible customer service.
I went to the Tri-Health clinic in this location for a problem with my ears. Alexa was the Nurse Practitioner I saw and she was absolutely amazing at her job. She was fast but didn't rush. She heard all my concerns and identified my problem outer ear infection and prescribed me the eardrops I needed to fix it. All in all I couldn't say a bad thing even if I tried.
Pharmacy randomly closes and sometimes for multiple days in a row. All unannounced. Posted pharmacy hours are meaningless. Unless you want the excitement of not knowing when pharmacy will be open, save yourself the headache. Our family will no longer use this pharmacy.
I swear I try my best to keep giving this location a chance with my photo orders bc I have a business on the next block. Everytime I submit my order it's never ready when it says it is and it's never complete. Quite a few times the worker didn't know what to do and sometimes there are disfunction with the printer. All the other locations are consistent. This one never is.
The pharmacy is fast and helpful, the store is usually tidy and well stocked, the photo department is knowledgeable, and the cashiers are friendly. This is a great choice for a neighborhood pharmacy. I've since had to lower my score. Twice now I have had a horrible experience with the team member in the photo department. She was rude, ignored me and my wife when we had questions, acted put out for having to assist customers, and did not have the ability to answer our questions. I will still use this location for everything else, but I will never use the photo department there again.
Went to get a vaccine replacement card, Jeffrey was the pharmacist, probably the rudest pharmacist I’ve interacted with. He started by saying “what’s up” when I walked up to the counter then just looked at me and rolled his eyes when I told him what I needed. then ended up passing it along to another lady who was friendly and got my replacement card. Would avoid this location if possible.
Friendliest, most helpful and knowledgable staff I have ever encountered at any retail store. I am Latina and have always felt welcomed and that my business was appreciated. I love this store and the people who work there are wonderful. Highly recommend. So glad it is NOT closing!!!!
How racist was it or your employees to stereotype and follow a young Black woman in your store. It's not only this store either as I've experienced personally being followed and being the only Black person in the store. With all attention being focused on me and customer service attentiveness being focused on whites
They need to fire the disrespectful racists they have working for them because if not walgreens will have a lot more problems on their hands instead of reviews. People of color will not spend our money at any of their establishments across the country if we push hard enough.
