We came recently for flu shot assuming we could walk-in and not need appointment just like past years. They told us they can't take walk-in's, and we have to make appointment online. While I understand that is the policy, we're disappointed they couldn't take us as they didn't seem that busy...no patients were in the waiting area waiting for vaccines or prescriptions, and this was well before their pharmacy closing time. As we're already in their system w/ insurance, I'm sure we would've been processed quickly. But they didn't consider any of that, just told us no. Personally I think the whole benefit of having vaccine clinics n pharmacies is for the convenience of walk-in. If I wanted to make an appointment, I would do so at my Dr's office. It's worth mentioning that after they declined us, we called CVS in North Plainfield, pharmacist confirmed they could take us as walk-in. We headed over, and successfully had our flu shots there very quickly, pharmacist was friendly and helpful. 2 stars because we've had prescriptions filled here w-o issue.
This has to be the worst patient care I've experienced at a pharmacy by a pharmacist. The PharmD was incredibly rude when I wanted a medication consult, and mocked my physician in a loud voice for the other workers and patients to hear. Not only that, he began a discussion on blaming Obamacare for the issues with my insurance coverage. Ok? I'm here as a patient to discuss my Rx list, not your breakdown of your political beliefs of our healthcare system. Not really the time and place for that conversation? As a patient I only felt like a burden and uncomfortable. Edit: Customers, patients, use what term applies. Either way, we're here for a service and we expect to be provided the services listed. Do I expect overwhelming enthusiasm? No. But at least basic decency, respect, and professionalism.
Worst experience ever. The pharmacy staff was rude. I received a call that my prescription was ready when I went there I was first told I was not in their system I have been going to this pharmacy for 15 years. After 10 minutes they found me in their system and then told me I don’t have any refills. I had received a call from the same pharmacy a day earlier that my prescription was ready. I would never go to this pharmacy again until this pharmacy staff is there.
This is a review regarding Walgreens pharmaceutical policies, not the people in the store, although naturally some issues may blend into the pharmacist. The problem is that Walgreens policies are now venturing beyond private medical matters that Walgreens shouldn't have any business knowing, only that the Dr. is writing a script for a patients needs. My pain management physician has been trying to get me to leave Walgreens pharmacy for a while now but it came down to convenience. Being that Walgreens has been pushing for more info from my Dr., it's almost basically boarder lined HIPAA violations. So after this last fiasco of them pushing for medical information, I'm happy to run far away from Walgreens and not look back. Sure, I'll be going if I need more shampoo but not my medicine.
The pharmacy is slower than molasses and super unhelpful. All these CVS and Walgreens pharmacy's are only good if they're 24 hours you need a prescription overnight. Anyone that's not 24/7 should really cease to exist, especially this one.
Caring, polite and knowledgeable staff
Nice people but the pharmacy is beyond slow. Not sure if they don’t have enough people or what the issue is as it is always a painful experience.
Terrible service, came in on an empty day for a flu shot and it took them 40 minutes to do a small flu shot Please take your business somewhere else, and also probably not Walgreens in general
Seems like despite their Pharmacy hours saying 9PM, they are constantly closing at 5PM. If you can't staff up to stay open, then change your hours. Don't say you're open and then greet me with a sign saying you're "temporarily closed" ??? It's just insulting to your customers' time.
I waited for more than 50 minutes to fill up a prescription. When I dropped the prescription off, there were 5 people ahead of me. I was told that it would take 30 minutes, so 34 minutes later, I went to pick up, only was told that they were still working on it, they needed 10 more minutes. I stood nearby and waited, 10 minutes later I went back to check. This time the pharmacy technician at the front went to fill it up in less than 5 minutes. The prescription was only tropical creams not pills which might take longer time. What a waist of time. Never this location again.
