Have loved this place since I was a little kid. I always skipped rocks on the shore, climbed the trees. And now there's a Playland there with scavenger hunt. So much fun. Did I mention the wildlife? So much to see on the dry and the bayshore.
A cool place to go. Fun play structure for the kiddos. Creek with bridges running down to the lake. Covered pavilion with tables and outside grill. Nice place to walk my small dog. Walkway down to the beach, was too steep for physically challenged. Fully fenced. Restrooms. New construction of new restrooms.
Love the public beach access, covered gathering area with picnic table and the kiddos playground... a family favorite, for sure!! It is great how the parking area can appear full-time yet, the park never seems crowded! Only suggestion I have is carpooling with others if possible, the parking is limited!
Well-kept park by the water. For those with kiddos: some small sense of security can be had knowing there is a chain-link fence between the beach & playground which sits higher than SL. Beach combing here is usually peaceful.. beautiful place to go fishing or observe wildlife & nature
Dirty... is an understatement. When i was kid we used to collect shellfish for dinner off this beach during season. Now its nothing but hazard signs and biowaste signs pretty disheartening.
Is a nice quiet spot with a small park, a river with a bridge, and a beach!! It's kinda has a little bit of everything. It gets crowded pretty easily with more than a few people, so I have been known to just drive by it and leave due to parties and things.
This is such a great place if you're solo or in a group of family and friends as it has the beach to walk, children's playground, quiet picnic tables as well as a covered area for gatherings and such. I've had multiple birthday parties for my kiddos here and it's always been a success! Very clean and well kept. Absolutely my favorite park in the area.
It is a pleasant little park. The view is amazing. Restrooms: It was clean enough but no soap in the men's room and the the women's had no soap or paper. Picnic area: The shelter is very nice. Three parties were going on at the same time.
The playground is nice and the park is clean and well maintained however, the water was unsafe to make contact with according to the signage and I was attacked by ground hornets... found out I'm anaphylactically allergic that day. The park is nice but be careful near the little waterfall. The locals are a touch spicy
Good park for the kids. Easy access. Clean facilities.
