Love this park! So many fun things to do here and it is so we'll taken care of. We went kayaking, had a little lunch at a picnic area, then took a short walk on one of the trails. Renting a kayak was super easy and the staff was very helpful. It's a beautiful area to kayak, lots of wildlife. The trail we took was easy to walk and had a few little areas you can stop and look out at the water. We had a fun time and plan to come back soon.
We rented kayaks for 1 hour and then hiked. Parking and kayak rental was really cheaply priced and a great experience. Bathrooms at the boat house were very clean and trails were well maintained. The staff were all very kind.
I was in Williamsburg for a few days and came here every day around 630pm and stayed until closing at 8pm. I only went to the piers for fishing but plenty of people rent kayaks, canoes, john boats. Trolling motor, battery, fishing poles, bait etc also. Seems there are hiking trails as well. I didnt catch any big ones but still had a lot of fun fly fishing for Panfish - mostly caught Bluegills. I will definitely come back and rent a boat/motor next time.
A lovely place to walk, have a picnic, fish and do a little boating. Boat rentals on site.Picnic tables in numerous areas. Benches along trails. Play areas. Piers.
Nice park, clean trails, you can bring your dog, nice views.
A very beautiful park. There is a trail available for those who want to hike or walk around the park. The reservoir has many different places where tourists may take photos. Water is marvelous and very open! You can even rent a kayak! There are large variety of small little animals! Definitely a learn and fun experience.
We had a great time. Serene lake and easy access. Not too crowded. The coolest part is exploring the ruins of the old water intake building. It's small, but really cool to see how they built buildings back them. Made to last!
Such a great spot! Sweet trail and tons of turtles to find. Boats to rent and a playground! It was lovely and can't wait to be back again.
Beautiful hiking trail and park, has dog park with trees. $2 admission per car; boat, kayak, pedal boat rentals for cheap... Picnic and areas with grills. Must visit.
Great place to spend a day or an afternoon it's open from 7am to 7PM. Great hiking/nature/educational trails there are signs along the trails which identify the trees species and information about each type of tree. I tried fishing from shore and the fishing pier without luck. There aren't many areas along the shoreline with adequate space to cast so if you plan to fish take a boat or rent one when you get there. Even though I didn't have any luck fishing I was extremely pleased with the park and all that it has to offer. They have Jhon boats, kayak and canoes for rent. They don't rent boats after 5PM and you must return them by 6PM. Enjoy
